Convictions in ebay phony bids

Recommended Posts

Awesome! This made my day. Let's hope this is the beggining or more crackdown's on eBay and PayPal. eBay has become such is a snakepit. Its gotten to where its nearly unbearable to shop on there anymore.

Recently, PayPal locked my account for something I sold to someone here on TFans. They siad it was paid with a fake card. When I contacted the buyer he said PayPal had already taken the money out of his bank account. It took like 5 emails and calls to get them to relent, give the money back and unlock my account. I have not used PayPal since.

If you have not see PayPalSucks.com, you should take a look. Its an eye opener and was very handy in helping me deal with them.

And for all the convenience Paypal affords, it is still a pain if anyone claims they have problems and/or if Paypal thinks there is a problem. Funds get frozen, your personal information can and is easily given to others... for just these reasons alone, I refuse to deal with that service.

I too have heard that paypal sux hard. However, being a seller and buyer on ebay, I have never had problems with over 300 transactions. What I do is I transfer the money to my bank account as soon as I get it in paypal. This, I would imagine, leaves paypal no time to check and or fvck with my funds. Knock on wood.

Discovered Paypal awhile ago and it is very easy for international payments,

I change my password and Paypal asked me to enter my bank account number so I could confirm my identity. So it appears to be quite safe.

But I only transfer funds into it when I have a payment to make. And to prevent people from paying with a stolen card you can say that you only accept payments with fund in the Paypal account.

I visited the "no paypal" site and stumbled onto an article about users being fined for selling prohibited items. Well, if you illegal stuff of course you should be fined.

I think Paypal is great and many people think so. :thumb

I use paypal and have never had an issue, though to be fair i am sure plenty of people ahve had issues with their regular banks too.

what kinda `illegal` stuff did they get fined for?

I use to do the same OT but crap happens and I do not need the stress with my monies and some freaking company that has many caused many people too much grief.
