proof of yellow G1 devestator - pics

Recommended Posts

ok here are some pics of G1 yellow and G2 yellow mixmaster.

Sorry about the quality - i dont have a camera that does good close ups.

Pic 1 - showing the launcher end.

G1 - has a hole

G2 - Mold has the hole sealed up.

Neither have springs and can 'launch' stuff like the green G1

see attached pic:

ok here is the second pic.

This shows the G2 on the right - notice the G2 symbol?

the left G1 one lacks this.

here it is on card - notice the complete lack of G2 markings.

However you can see how G2 is 'creeping' into the design.

Also all card backs for the bots aree the same - the backs ahave instructions for all bots transformations.

Also - no devestator parts. and other bots have grey bits - EG: grey digger arm.

were there people that didnt beleaved this?

you can also tell the difference by the purple plastic: the G1 yellow Devvi has the dark purple like the green Devvi while G2 has a lighter shade of purple (same as on the orange G2 Devvi)

G1 yellow: no combiner parts

G2: both color versions had combiner parts

:tfevil yeah there were. - there is a thread somewhere around where i tried to get all the dev info together.

on the darker colours - that is generally true, but again there are variations!

I've got also got G1 hook - with and without a pin. - I didnt add it - maybe someone did?

(i also wanted to post some pics!)

:tfevil

ow, if you want more variants, I have a red eyed Devastator, I was once told it was rarer as the yellow eyed version

(about eyes: my original Prime also has red eyes)

i'll chalk that one up!

I'm stuggling with the orange dev at the moment.

2 bots down - 4 to go... including the hard to get long haul and hook :(

G1 yellow: no combiner parts

Those are the ones also known as "G1½" Constructicons among collectors, right?

G1½, they transform when they get wet :P

with G1½ you mean at the end of G1, in europe, when Thunderclash and company got released, as thats true (one can find that info in the TF:Generations book--> recommended book BTW)

1.5 sounds right.

the moulds are about half way between the green G1 and the yellow G2

whatever they are - I think they are pretty rare!?
