Fan Made PCC Drones?

Recommended Posts

I got PCC bombshock yesterday, and i realized the main flaw of the line; the drones suck. They don't transform, they fall off easily, and the limb modes are unstable. With all the fan made products being made these days, I was wondering if anyone else thought that fan made drones were a good idea? I know that i would buy them if they were made.

It would probably be easier/better to just drill a hole in some Matchbox cars (the shark and robot cars are my fav) or just have FP Shadow Warriors hold up the PCC Commander. :P

I picked up Bombshock and the crew about a month ago and so far I feel like I just flushed 20 bucks down the crapper(can't hold any pose due to loose joints, bad articulation and so on and so forth). I like Bombshock himself as a Onslaught Jr, and that's the only saving grace on this set. I grabbed Huffer simply because I did not have a fig for him which I like, but that's about as good as it gets.

They come off as gestalts for the beginner/kiddies, which I'm sure they are aimed at to begin with not to mention they have that gotta collect 'em all mentality to a small degree(which I hate, Thanks Pokeman! :P).

Sorry, got off topic! I think if anything, just beefing up the drones themselves(tighter springs, hinges, ETC) would be a excellent step in making them better figures, even if the drones are for lack of better wording 2 dimensional in a 3 dimensional world of play.

Just another case of how a gimmick ruins what could have been a great line. PCC overall is sub-par, however I do enjoy the originality they put into the 2-pack figures. Those are probably the only saving grace for this line.

However, if some third party (Preferrably FansProject) were to make some of their own drones down the line, I would be fine with that.
