will we ever get a animated series that covers the first and second great war?

now this is just a very early version of a scene i have had in my head for a while

i think track 3 labor of love from the soundtrack to the 09 star trek movie wouldfit perfectly for the scene

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zjl-7yQ4Jk

this is the kindo f scene i am trying to describve though

for a moment imagine a generation 1 style animated continuity

one in which the final battle of the first great war between the autobots ancestors the cybertrons and the decepticons ancestors the destrons plays out at the very beginning of the opening scene

one in which dai atlas makes his peace with his death which is yet to actually happen while his second in command a realtively young A-3 has just carried out what will be the final task assigned to him by his commanding officer

a task in which he has literally split dai atlas's own lifespark into 3 portions with each newly split sparkling being used to give new life to each of the 3 protoformed cybertronian shell bodies which they have just recently been implanted into

as the dieing dai atlas passes to a-3 theamtrix of leadership he is piloting a cybetron flagship against dezares personel war fortress with the cybertron ship being out gunned out numbered outpowered and just barely functional at the steering controls save for its still functioning warp drive

in the final moments of his life as he lay limp and dieing at the controls dia atlas through pure willpower alone forces his body to pilot the severly damaged ship to its ultimate distruction utilizing his own personel bond with the matrix to commit this final act in his life asa living dieing being as he goes out in a final blaze of glory destroying both dezaras and his war fortres

and at the same time protecting the lives of his crew at the cost of his own life as they return to thier war torn planet cybertron in the ships escape pods

for all intents and purposes think of this opening scene as being both a cross between the 2009 star trek movie and the second star trek movie the wrath of kahn

the scene from the 2009 star trek movie being the scene where kirk's father sacrifices his life as he goes out in a final blaze of glory to save the lives of his wife their just born son and the lives of the crew

and the scene from wrath of kahn being the scene at the end of the movie where spock uses will power alone to animatee his lifeless body to save the lvies of the crew when it comes to spock's sacrifce at the end of wrath of kahn

done jus write story wise i actually think this could be made into a suitable transformers scene homage to both scenes from those two star trek movies

as for the 3 protoforms the idea i am going with is that alpha trion would himself raise them as his adopted sons orion paxion dion magnum and omega trion with the first two goign on to become optimus prime and ultra magnsu and the last one going on to become megatron as brothers set agaisnt one another

i actually think thisw could be made into a yuusha style blaze of glory in its way

Truth be told, I would rather we had a series that strayed away from Pre-earth/Cybertronian altmodes and prequel stories and instead focused on modern or not too distant future times. I guess that's what the new Transformers:Prime series is doing. I dunno, between War Within/Dark Ages, IDW's Origin/Spotlight series', and now War for Cybertron, I'm starting to feel the "great Wars/Cybertrons past" stuff is played out. Transformers are Robots in disguise, let's get them back to basics. Kind of hard to disguise themselves when surrounded by other alien robots. I would love for a return to earth in a post Season 4/American Headmaster series. Even have Galvatron and or Zarak return. Please no more pre-G1 stories. It was cool and all while it lasted, but I really am getting tired of it.

Thats a good fanfic idea, but honestly no.

Any preearth cybertron idea is honestly outside of the range in quality and story that hasbro would aprove

In other words, it would suck.

While I would love to see such stories written and told, I know the truth that series wise it would be a clusterf**k without the right person heading the ship.

And heaven forbid that happens.

I'd just stick with the games, comics, and novels, that loosely tell the tales, a series just wouldn't be done right.

They need to stay away from Pre-Earth definitely, G1 and War Within touched on them enough. I would like to see some of the Japanese only characters brought over instead.

Previous animated series have handled Transformers history properly by giving the viewers the fundamentals of what happened during the Great War, perhaps with a variation on the concept of heroic :bot and then moving on to issues in the present. Constantly referencing the Great War would lessen its mystique into just another war between the Autobots and Decepticons. We don't want this war to become as overplayed as the Clone Wars has in the past decade.
