Ok I am sold on a non G1 show

it's half a glimpse but looks a little cheap, like a cut scene for a later on PS2 game. I think cutting back on the shimmer would help that.

I can't wait! I love good CGI...

 

Something I'm confused with: Is this series a continuation of the movies, or is it another whole new universe?

 

It looks like a blend of The movies and Animated with BW CGI. So I would say its another universe

Its WFC continuity with movie design elements and touch Animated esque flow, and tad WFC deisgn ques as well. This is what Archer said at the panel. :)

I think what they're doing wrong on the overall, WFC, Movie,Animated and so is that they keep saying "we're trying to recapture G1"

 

That has most thinking they're going to do a beast warsish tie in to the actual G1.

 

What they should say is "we want to aply a mix of the origional story with elements of the current trend and give you something new till we get bored with it and restart the whole fucking thing again in a year or two."

Honestly, I hope I'm proven wrong but after RID, AEC, and Animated, I have a feeling that we're sliding ever faster down the power rangers path with "G1" being waved as a banner :tfsad

 

Think about it, how many new G1 tie ins have theire benn from Dreamwave to WFC which already has a broken continuity that turn out to have nothing to do with G1?

 

If they'd just be honest and admit they just wanna start over every couple years because Transformers is a money machine and they really don't care how the story is told, I'd be fine with that. Just stop pooping in the bowl and calling it pudding.
