I have to disagree about the Seacons... I love the figure but we cant deny its ugly as hell... Plus the girly colors and price... They are not a retail friendly toy...

I agree and diagree, they'r ugly, but thats cool.

Making them an online exclusive...

they're gonna take a beating.

Think about it, a thousand stores can carry your product, or 1 online collector shop?

-keep in mind, Hasbro does not sell to retailers on consignment.

Also, I have to agree about Hasbro slacking off. Where it use to be for years every month there was something new to buy(taht was also fun), it dropped to maybe every other month, and now seems less then quarterly with most product just being repaints.

I love buying new figures even when I can't afford them. Like anything in life though, if they can't hold your intrest...

If they need to recharge the batteries, at least import some stuff(then again, Takara's been slouching too)

Between the stuff they sold on their own website and the online retailer exclusive G.I. Joe figure sets and the last wave of 25th anniversary G.I. Joe vehicles, having an online exclusive is nothing new for Hasbro. Selling the Seacons at BBTS only is slightly unusual, but how is it any different than making MP Grimlock a TRU exclusive? I really don't see what is so horrible about this.

Maybe they should have gone with the God Neptune colors?

I like the G1 colors because it fits for what came out in that era. Plus I can get this one and call him King Poseidon

The colors are fine... He look so out of place in my collection that it be awesome... I just dont think the casual fans will embrace him like we will...

I think you might just have given BBTS their next exclusive... LOL

LE - I just dont want "G1 reissues" to be hurt in the long run... I bet Walmart is thinking twice about doing MP exclusives after the Skywarp fiasco... There were mountains of them on clearance for less than 20 dollars... I can guarantee that Piranacon would suffer the same fate... One day when Hasbro decide to do a mass retail G1 combiner reissue... Let it be someone like Superion or Menasor... Who can say no to planes and race cars right?...

So Piranacon will be the one that you see plain as day with just a Glance? I can see that.

The main problem with the Skywarp fiasco was they ordered way too many, then the $60 price tag for a so so figure. When Starscream came out I only paid $40 for it. One of the Walmarts down here had half an aisle stacked with the Skywarps. And they didn't appear until 2 and half weeks before Christmas. They should have brought them out at least 6 weeks before Christmas. Black Friday deal them.

If they did Piranacon right $50 not a problem. Which is the MSRP that Hasbro said at Botcon. And BBTS of coarse upped to $75 for the July release and $60 for the August release

Did anyone OR is anyone even GETTING their Seacons from BBTS in July??? I doubt it (but i could be wrong)

But did anyone think this? The seacons sword looks to be not kid friendly, MAYBE the set doesn't pass toy sale laws at retail stores like WM KMart and TRU? Then again, i wouldnt know for sure. BUT it does look rather pointy for todays standard toy releases @ retail.

Also, they made up with it by showing us Transformers: Prime designs and a small clip. :) Which, IMO is pretty cool. HOWEVER, i cant see this show doing to well if their isnt a toyline to co-incide with it. AT THE SAME TIME it shows on the air. But they did mention @ Botcon takara-tomy was working on TF: Prime toys as we speak (spoke?). So ...

And its not like they cant have two toylines running simotainously. Classics/Uni Animated Movie Masterpiece anyone?

Then again, although im not one to flame Hasbro, i was a little dissapointed in THIS panel. Also it would have been nice to see TF:P Starscream & Soundwave. Plus Bulkhead (especially since HES the one they mentioned making a toy out of)

I don't think they are expecting too many people to be watching Transformers Prime. Since the Hub is taking over for Discoverykids. And DiscoveryKids is channel 157 where I am firmly entrenched in the Digial Package.and I pay $116 a month for Cable and internet

man, the more i see generations blurr, the more i love it. i really cannot wait for him.

i'm still really annoyed that we weren't shown ANY of the generations figures that they talked about during the botcon panel.

So, no pictures of the Thirteen? :tfsad
