I usually prefer Hasbro names, but in Superlink hasbro has screwed up with some of those. Downshift should have been wheeljack and bulkhead springer. Not to mention Shockblast

using japanese names for the american characters is one of my biggest smurfing pet peeves in the fandom I can understand if there is no English variant for that character. I mean, what is the English name for Lioconvoy, except... Lioconvoy. And I can even understand if they're completely different characters. Big Convoy and Nemesis Prime are different guys... Makes total sense to call them differently. But otherwise, they really should call them by the American names. They're just sounding like elitist Afterburners. when fantwits have to use the Takara name for the American show It's like they call them that, almost like they're fishing for comments like "Why are you calling him that?" so they can feel godlike and tell them how the Japanese call them, like the Japanese are so smurfing godly.

Why would it matter? It's on the dang box isn't?

 

If you are gonna buy Hasbro version, you go by Hasbro's names.

If you are gonna buy Takara version, you go by Takara's names.
