the GTR is going to be a race production vehicle available to the public I was watching a special on it the other night it would make the perfect Bludgeon

I think that Hasbro needs to change it's idea of calling the Honda S-2000 WINDCHARGER and give the name to this Mustang with a modified transformation. I think the name WINDCHARGER screams for something "beefy" like the Ford MUSTANG Fast-N-Furious style.

By The Way, Nice sig Furious!! :thumb :tftongue

Funny, that's exactly what I originally planned on doing with the Mustang before the Honda was listed as being Windcharger. I really like the Grimlock mold, but I'm more interested in aquring accurate G1 figures, so I figured his head would be easy to scratchbuild, his alt mode has an uncanny resemblance to the Mustang, and that maybe the minibot deserved something bulkier to stand out with. My plan for the S2000 was for a Cliffjumper kitbash.

But now I'm not so certein on what to do. I thought about the idea of making Brawn as a Mustang rather than toling away with a Hummer scratchbuild, but that probably stretches my beleiveability of what vehicles they should be (I still insist that Ironhide be a van and Trailbreaker a pickup truck, for one thing).

Oh well, plenty of time to think it over and plan out my Bumblebee custom.

Utscanomiko, I thought of that too. I used to have a 2002 BUG for about a year. I think the car itsself would make a great Alt mode for BUMBLEBEE ...if the Honda Civic SI did a lot better, I would think this would make an equally great bodytype.

Since the beginning of the summer I traded in my BUG for a green GTI VR6 and think this would be perfect for CLIFFJUMPER down to the green color. If not the VR6 then the GTI R32 all wheel drive in blue. (cant ...stop ...drooling) VW is my favorite car co. and I hope that TAKARA/HASBRO can work out the differences with these european car companies. :tftongue

On modification, why wouldn't Tak/Has be able to give us the same car but with a different transformation? would be nice for breaking up the monotony and having to use the same mold time and time again. I know myself that I'm missing seeing the front end as feet for some robots and am looking to seeing more interesting things pop up.

They reuse the same mold because it's more cost effective to use it for more than one figure. If they make a mold with a completely different transformation it makes more sense to use a different model car than to stifle it with repetition.

And yeah, the New VW bug is the obvious choice for scratchbuilding Bumblebee. My current plan is similar to Wolfbot's, but shorter and with more transforming parts (a lot more of the backend folds down to become the shoulders, doors fold into the back, and the windshields slide under other parts, for example).

As for Cliffjumper... I don't even want to know why Green or Blue is supposed to make sense. I used to joke about people saying Cliff/Bumble should be blue...

Now I've heard everything. See you later, TFans. :tftongue
