I'm guessing that we can mostly agree that Animated Voyager Optimus' axe-cab-watergun-thing that he comes with is pretty terrible. It's bigger than his chest for Pete's sake! I was just going to replace it with an axe from either of the deluxe Optimus figures, but then I saw this piece of old news about a pretty sweet show-accurate custom-made axe:

Linky

I know its a long time ago, but does anyone know if I can still get one of these somewhere? The link in the story is dead.

Thanks

I did consider buying this custom axe ... but then I found out that the axe from the battle pack Prime did the job just fine.

I'm not sure if he ever went into production with these. Nato is a member, try PMing him.

It may be cheaper though to search the end cap/auctions and see about buying just a loose Prime.

I can't say that for sure though.

I know I'd like to get my hands on a couple more of those axes and maybe a Supreme Prime axe too.

I thought deluxe prime would probly be my only option. It's a very cool custom piece though so I thought it'd be worth asking!

if you find out anything about it, can you post about it here? I had forgotten about this kit, but I've wanted one since pics were originally released.

Well, I messaged the chap whose idea it was and asked if they are available. However, according to his profile, he hasn't visited this board since August, so I can't say whether a reply will be forthcoming or not. Fingers crossed though.
