OK, here's the deal--I was all set to start my next repainting project--turning Battle Ravage into G1 Ravage or Steeljaw--when I lost the stupid thing. Then I find it chewed to a million pieces in a friend's backyard, where the dog resides (how it got there is another mystery for me).

I was all worked up to do some repainting, but now I'm being forced to wait until more Command Ravages show up down here. But I've still got the urge to paint. Then it hit me: my Armada figures! Then it hit me again: I've only got one--counte 'em, one--of each of the Armada figures that I've bought. Usually, when I repaint something, I buy two of whatever I'm doing so I can open both but keep one the same and paint the other. In this case, I don't have that luxury.

I like my Armada figures, but I'm wondering if I would get more use/joy out of them by painting them instead of just keeping them in a box in my closet due to lack of shelf space. So, I turn to you, humble TFans board members. Please give me your opinion if I should paint them, and any suggestions on what characters I should do will be accepted gratefully. Here are the Armada figures I've found--and each one has their Minicon still with them.

Hot Shot

Demolisher

Cyclonus

Blurr

Sideways

Hoist

Smokescreen

Street Action Team

Night Attack Team

Red alert

Thundercracker

If I find more, I'll update the list. Thanks.

EDIT: Just found Optimus Prime (both incarnations) and the Adventure Team Minicons.

:thumb go for it, i did a battle ravage and turned him into g1 ravage

Hey man as long as you're going to have fun doing them then I say go for it.

Here are some pics to help give you some ideas:-

Hope those pics helpped. :thumb

Understand your problem. I'm actually faced with the same. I've bought a few figures twice (when they were on sale), but most of my figures I've got only once. I'd say: if you're sure you want to repaint the figure and know what you're doing, then go for it. I would take pictures before you start painting.

i'ld get duplicates... that's what i did when i wanted to paint something. that's why i got 8 bendy primes when they were $5 at kmart.

oh hey, I have these I would sell:

Hot Shot

Cyclonus

Hoist

Street Action Team

Thundercracker

PM me if you are interested in buying them.

Any suggestions from anyone on who should become what?

I say don't do it. I too will not alter a figure I only have one of.

I say go out and get some Energon or Universe figures to alter instead. My suggestions: Energon Towline into G1 Ironhide or G1 Ratchet (doing these myself). Or one that was my favorite to do, Universe Ramjet into G1 Jetfire (still need to finish one booster). Trust me, that one will look awesome. Also like Energon Divebomb into G1 Divebomb or G1 Laserbeak -or- Energon Signal Flare/Offshoot into G1 Frenzy or Rumble.

I say Make them all 100% show ACC!!!!

i think you should try repainting hot shot into hot shot fire from superlink
