Bad Q/C, Will hasbro replace it?

Recommended Posts

I recently got stealth lockdown in the mail, and TBH he looks better in person. Anyways, I went to transform him into car mode. I folded up his right hand, and then went to the left...next thing I know I am holding a clear severed hand "aparently stealth lockdown can and will suffer from CPS"... Now I am at an absolute loss, I could attempt to fix it and just live with the fact the hand could come apart at any time, or I could try my luck and buy another S. Lockdown "although I want to avoid this", or I could hope hasbro lets me exchange it and I actually get back a stealth lockdown...

What do you guys think?

EDIT: I fixed the hand! here is a picture comparing the two.

If you need help fixing your lockdown arm, please say so and I will make a tutorial. :D

if they still have it in stock they'll send you a form. Fill it out and return it with the figure.

Since this figure was a limited exclusive though, your probably out of luck

BBTS still has the figure, you could do a defect swap through them. It's shadey and may be alot more effort then it's worth.

So long as they count on China to build their figures, I wouldn't count on any improvement on QC

Well I think it was actually just CPS that caused it... Im just gonna buy another S. lockdown and keep the one I have for a future project.

hasbro has been good to me for QC replacements. I once sent in ROTF depthcharge that I got pre release off ebay because it didn't have a head, they sent me a new one. Store exclusives are another story. They will only replace those with a "comparable" product since there's less of them I suppose

also keep in mind that it's over a year off the retail market.

I fixed the hand :D...but I have confirmed it is CPS causing the issues, as he has other minor problem area's. Luckily I caught it early and have now applied a very thin layer of mineral oil to lockdown, if all goes right it should be back to normal.

I was wondering about this as well. I was wondering what can be done with Transformers Toy QC issues. I have an Inferno with really loose joints and it would be nice to get them fixed or replaced somehow.

I wonder what they'd do in an older figure?
