Custom of the Week - Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave by Jin Saotome

Recommended Posts

Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave complete with tentacles and satellite, by Jin Saotome.

i don't mean to come off sounding like a dick.. but i'm sure i will.

frenzyrumble and jin saotome do really great work.. but how many times will they have the custom of the week title? it just seems like every time they make something it earns the custom of the week title. i know that there is a lot of great work being done on this site other than theres. i think it's time to put them in some sort of customizing hall of fame.

On the flipside, is there any work by others that matches their scale? Is it fair to hold FR and JS to a higher scale just because they are perceived to have a higher quality of work? If anything, I think their work would inspire other customizers to ratchet their skills up a notch. Exempting them from the Custom of the Week running simply because they're so good is kinda biased IMO.

Nice work, but I still think the version done by TonyzCustomz was better. Now that, IMHO, should have been a custom of the week.

It's hidden on page 4 or 5 of the customs section.

I like the satellite but the color is meh, for one his usual customs. Hes good dont get me wrong but this could have been better and imo, isnt worthy of custom of the week. JMO though :shrug

but for customs I have more fun seeing people trying to make something new. Like the Scourge that won it recently...

I have to say thanks man i didnt even realise i'd got a COTW :eek

To Be fair i think Jin made an excellent job of this but i do prefer Tonyz Version.

I hope to get a COTW award if I ever finish my MM Alternator Custom......:lol but I'm afraid it may not qualify.... :tfsad

Nice work, I think that JS and F_R have set the standard for Customization, but there are a lot of Customizers that have inspired them. I would classify them as Veterans of Customizing. There should be categories.... Expert, Veteran, Rookie.....or something similar. It's like an NFL team playing a high school team IMHO. I think everyone likes to see someone else win after a while of seeing the same people, just human nature I think.
