Ok so i was thinking about this last night i was watching the old 86 movie, and it hit me! INTRODUCE GALVATRON!

Ok so it can start off like this in a way(feel free to add if you'd like)

Megatron got pretty badly beat up at the end of ROTF, so him and screamer run off, and are found by Unicron(introduce him already!) and he pretty much gives them a proposition, since the autobots pretty much cant be stopped not even by the fallen, unicron tells them he will provide them with upgrades to there bodys (Galvatron! :yay ),

The only problem with the Galvatron thing is this: ROTF Megatron was supposed to BE Galvatron. (In fact if you look at a couple of subtle details in his design, you can see this somewhat.) They opted not to change his name or color scheme because they thought it might confuse the general audience.

Now, I'm sure some of you will cry foul, but I actually don't mind because I... kinda like Megatron just being "Megatron" personally. (I like the name and color scheme better.) But this doesn't mean you can't have Galvatron...

I propose that Galvatron be introduced as a seperate character (a la the old Marvel Comics story line), but as sort of a clone of Megatron used by Unicron to command his army of sweeps.

He could be an 'upgraded' Megatron; but an honorable gentleman who serves Unicron because Unicron created him and it's the only life he knows. However Megatron (by absorbing the All Spark back in movie 1) is his equal in combat much to his surprise. Why?

Because Galvatron vs Megatron on an even footing would be, like, the COOLEST fight scene ever.

Oh, BTW he should be voiced by Leonard Nimoy.

You have a good point, now galvatron being introduced as a seperate character when i first read it i was like EHH

BUT! when you mentioned galvatron and megatron fighting...NOW thats a whole different story!, but if galvatron is fighting megatron, and galvatron being really loyal that would mean unicron is doing something to the planet earth(EATING IT!).

Now that means 1 of 2 things either megatron has teamed up with the autobots to take down unicron, or the cooler one he has his own agenda, hes taking down galvatron and unicron to protect the planet he wants to rule, now imagine this

optimus isnt gonna let this douche eat the planet now is he? i didnt think so

SOOOO

Optimus vs megatron vs galvatron & unicron on 1 team it would be a freaking sweeeet free for all kind of battle with galvatron protecting unicron.

and we can throw like every one on the autobot, decepticon and unicrons forces in to it, but on another battle field, have megatron, galvatron, and optimus fight in space or something like that. :tflaugh

That's pretty much what I had in mind! I thought that maybe... maybe Megatron's obsession with the all spark, and his "subservience" to the fallen could have started out as a quest to find the meaning of "unicron" (a cybertronian legend) and his desire to build an army was originally intent on destroying this Unicron.

But power and the bad influence of the fallen corrupted him, and now he wants to control unicron. See? Fun!

Whoa, we're thinking alike again! That's my idea for Galvatron in my Classic/Universe mythos! :eek

Awesome. Simply Awesome. :thumb

BTW, I don't know if anyone's interested, but I have a new chapter for that 'funny subplot' comic I posted a few posts back, but I don't know whether to link to it or actually post it in an actual thread... somewhere... any suggestions?

Plot you dont need a plot.... J/k

How about Megatron gets the allspark piece and build up an army of Decepticons we know and love. yea not kitchen bots but cool mean bots.

I have a few ideas, but I want to respond to some of the ideas that have been touted first.

:yay ), and entire army of decepticon troops, and enough energon to restore cybertron (hes unicron he rolls like that)

I like the idea, but your not including any humans. I would suggest not staying so close to the 86 movie as an inspiration.

3. Morality would be a huge theme. The Decepticons would talk about how the humans are just like insects to them. One of the captured Decepticons is Dynamite (based on Beast Wars Dinobot). He is kept as a prisoner in car mode and befriends Mikaela, who gives him some minor repairs to reduce some pain he feels. He starts out despising her and all the human "insects," but through conversations is turned around...

I like this idea a lot. Very complex, mature, alluring. Would make for a good story and intricacies in the story that are missing in the last 2 movies, and would also make it, qutie frankly, way smarter.

I like the idea of the space bridge, but how would that work into a plot? Why did they build a space bridge?

Rumble goes into places or situations in which Barricade would either not fit, or stand out too much, to rough up targets, or lure them out. That or he hides in wait and provides Barricade with back up when the big guy gets into trouble, Particularly with 'International Bureau of Extraterrestrial Crime' officers or their deputies. (The I.B.E.C? Nah, that's stupid... Never Mind.)

I like where this is going, but i think it would work out better as a cartoon, not live action. remember, you have give humans a big part in the movies, otherwise they just will not work.

So now then, here's my plot idea.

The basic premise would be, how can peace be attained? What would have to happen for the Autobots and Decepticons to sign a peace deal they can live with. My idea requires much more subtle motives from the robots and humans, more rational, not just evil for evil's sake, but evil with purpose.

1 - Premise - Energon is running out, and both Autobots and Decepticons must find a way to create it in order to survive.

The decepticons want to take over Earth without caring about the humans. The Autobots are trying to make energon with humans cooperation, with the ultimate goal of leaving, but also stopping the Decepticons from destorying human kind trying to do the same thing (very G1)

The Decepticon's goals are much easier to do. Megatron convinces the Decepticons that Human Nuclear bombs have enough power to make good energon efficiently. The Autobot approach using human civilian technology is producing very slow results. So from a selfish Transformer perspective, the Nukes are the way to go since it has results now. The more noble approach would likely not work, since by the time they make it work it may be too late to let the robots survive.

So the Decepticons are desperate and they have no access to human nukes (all the governments are aligned with the Autobots), so they recruit North Korea. The Decepticons go to North Korea and no one can stop them, since they're North Korea's guests - the UN can't do anything about it since they dont want to start a nuclear war, and the Autobots are stuck too since they won't have human back up.

North Korea uses this to its advantage, and decides that with the Decepticons as allies, they can take over South Korea again, and after that, who knows?

This galvanizes world governments who finally decide to act, but the war of course drags on.

In the mean time, progress starts happening with civilian energon creation that helps with human energy consumption too (maybe Sam could be the leading expert on energy after college). Finally there's a chance for peace between Autobots and Decepticons - the Decepticons now have a choice - Starscream now has a choice. Starscream still had ambitions of ruling Earth, but now he's conflicted.

Eventually the war turns around and the humans/Autobots start making in-roads. Starscream is getting diplomatic messages from humans about this possibility (maybe the Australian communications expert from the 1st movie could be involved in this) - With the war going bad, and with a peaceful way of making energon (a way out of war), Starscream tries to convince Megs to give it a shot.

Thats when he finds out Megatron lied. The nukes are no good for energon. Megs was after creating Unicron - the All Spark's opposite - its antitheses - the All Spark had the power to "create worlds and fill them with life". And the Matrix, a sacred creation by the All Spark, holds the key to it. The Unicron's sole purpose is to destroy planets and destroy all life. Megatron was never after making energon - his hatred for humans and the Autobots for destroying the All Spark, The Fallen, and the Sun Harvester is all consuming. Megatron wants to use Unicron to destroy Earth just like he did with Cybertron - in Cybertron he built Unicron as a barganaing chip - when pushed he activated it, but he figured he could always bring it back with the All Spark once he won the war. This time, he's just doing it out of vengeance.

He fully distrusts the Autobots - he's convinced what Starscream has told him is a ruse by Prime. Also, life isn't worth living if he's not in charge, and since the Transformers are doomed to extinction anyway, he wants to take everything away from the humans. Many Decepticons agree - to Soundwave, for instance, after fighting for so long, surrender would be an insult, dishonorable, they'd rather destroy everything than surrender. They wanna go out with a bang, samurai style.

This is how Starscream finally betrays Megatron - not for a petty desire to rule, but for a much more, and realistic, reasons.

The fight devolves into Prime having to use the Matrix (from the last movie) to destroy the Unicron. with the Matrix lost on Earth, Prime was unable to sve Cybertron. This time, he vows he would not fai. But as a climax Megs merges with the Unicron to become Galvatron, and Prime has no choice but to sacrifice himself (this time for real) in order to destroy the Unicron. Just like Megs merged with the Unicron, the Matrix must be merged with Prime. Their one, equals, and for one to be destroyed, the other must also equally die.

With Megs gone, Screamer takes over command of the Decepticons who accept the terms of surrender (die-hards like Soundwave choose to die gloriously). The Autobots, following Prime's example of compassion invite the Decepticons to a peace treaty and to start over again in another world using the newly discovered technology. The decepticons decline the offer, for they are still qutie bitter, but say that maybe in the future, perhaps unification will occur.

Thus peace is attained. The Autobots leave Earth, to try to start over in Mars, or something. With their human allies staying in contact. The End.

What do you guys think?

I know many think Unicron shoud be a planet consuming monster-robot, but frankly this goes beyond the belivable - "maximally counterintuitive" as they say. I think having the Unicron be like the All Spark is more belivable, maintains the essence of what it does, and keeps Megs as the main bad guy.

Wow the end almost made me shed a tear, this was AMAZING! HOLY SH*T!, i love the idea of unicron being the opposite of the all spark! oh god i cant explain how much i love that. Also starscream being smart and seeing the oppurtunities here, and being smart for once and taking the chance with the autobots, and at the end leading them to peace, of all people(err..transformers) starscream..i love it!

jesus christ theres not one thing i didnt like. this would be the greatest ending ever.

:love :yay

Thats better than Armageddon. Unicron eats the Moon on its way to Earth. And is Defeated at the last minute before it gets to Earth.

I like the idea of the space bridge, but how would that work into a plot? Why did they build a space bridge?

There would be two goals. One would be to get back to Cybertron to help rescue any remaining Transformers there. The other would be to search for a new planet that they could inhabit. While they can already travel through space, this would be a much quicker way for them to do so.

I like your idea! But I think it should be saved for a "series finale." I'm wondering, though, how realistic it is for the Decepticons to team up with North Korea, from both sides...

I can see the cons stealing NK's nuke stock pile, but not forming an alliance. NK Government= Humans. Cons hate Humans.

The only other thing about your idea that bugs me just a little is the idea that Starscream turns out to be the cons' savior. I can see it as being an interesting twist, but Starscream always seemed like one of the LEAST scrupulous of all them; doing things ONLY when they are in HIS best interest.

It always struck me that if ANY of the Cons' upper Echelon had some scrap of decency left deep within them it would actually be Megatron himself. I see Megs as having started his career with good intentions, but power and rage twisted him and lead to him being not completely evil, just amoral and with an "ends justify the means" attitude. There's a reason for every move he makes; his sadism springs from the fact that killing anyone who opposes him brings him the pleasure of knowing that there is one less obstacle on the path to his 'utopia'. And the reason he surrounds himself with truly evil formers is because he knows that they are the ones who will most readily follow his lead, and do whatever it is that he thinks needs to be done, no matter how unsavory that is. He will probably have to have many of them executed once the galaxy and/or universe actually belongs to him, as the degenerates would only undermine his government once he establishes it.

Why kill the humans? Well, he sees them as frightened and selfish parasites who are leaching off resources he needs to return cybertron to its former glory and beyond. Not to mention that they left him frozen and 'tormented' him for many, many years.

His views are cruel and wrong, but he personally doesn't see them that way.

But then maybe this is just my malfunction, and I've completely missed the point of who Megatron is. Who knows? :shrug
