ok, so I was wrong, I think that they are right, make a proposal to them man. cant hurt.

You cant propose anything to Hasbro as lagally they cant listen, for fear of us suing them should the either:

 

a/ take our advice and not pay us/mention us.

 

b/ already have a similar concept and produce THAT and not pay/mention us.

 

Sometimes, companies have to actually SCRAP their plans if an outside party mentions their ideas to a vulnerable company member, for fear of being sued for COPYING their ideas.

 

Its sad, but true.

 

Thats why companies have questionairs or design competitions, or shows like BOTCON, etc; in order to have legal environments to exchange ideas.

Actually, I’ve been researching the matter, as I want the sell a few of my ideas. While you are correct, Hasbro does have a “no none solicited ideas� policy (for the reasons you mentioned); there are ways to get your ideas looked at. Most large companies have a list of those they consider to be a part of the “professional toy designing community�, mostly designers, engineers, or brokers, from whom they will readily take ideas. Now, getting on that list is the tricky part. One way to do it is to copyright and/or patent your idea then hire a toy broker (from the list) to look at your idea and help you sell it to the big companies (this is the way I’m planning to go). It is difficult and most people don’t want to go through the hassle, but if you have the desire to try and get rejected time after time it is possible.

(I mean the people on the list do it!)

PS. If anyone really wants to try I suggest reading The Toy and Game Inventor’s Handbook by Richard Levy and Ronald Weingartner.

Yea, this turned out ok but it is my last design. I have some other Atl designs but the are too G1 and blocky.
