looking for an alternator sized motorcycle robot

Recommended Posts

hey, everyone.

i REALLY want to make an alternator style motorcycle for my first "true" kitbash.

i just havent seen anything i can get started with.

anyone know of any toys that are about alternator size that change from a robot to a bike?

PS yes i know about that auto vajira thing, but i dont think you can get them in the US. i'm looking for something i can buy here, preferably on the west coast.

They have some diecast motorcycles floating around.

they are made by a company in china...havent seen them yet.

Here's one i'm making from a diecast model..It's gonna be Wheelie!

:)

what are you planning to use as a robot base for that guy? i was thinking that maybe if i could build up a collection of crapformers and junkticons (cheap TF's with broken parts) i could just start with a model kit and stick joints where i need them.

i'd also need a head, and some time since i now work full time and attend school on my other full time.

if anyone has some ideas or has done something from a model kit/diecast instead of starting with a robot and switching body panels, let me know how you did it and how it turned out.

btw, i am hellbent on making an alternator arcee, if anyone wants to know.

it will be it's own base...i am using handmade arms and legs and some sort of wheelie looking head.

pretty much, although i have to find a model kit of a bike i like that matches its scale if i can find a bike-bot. if its close (1/25,1/26, 1/22, ect.) then that would be cool- as long as i can find a licensed bike to match.

i have been looking for a kawasaki ninja model kit especially as it would be sweet to have my kitbash have the word NINJA on it. and by sweet i mean totally freaking awesome.

sorry 'bout that.

The G2/RiD Laser Cycles are around 1:24 in scale and I think they are based in real motorcycles. I have them stand next to my Alt Sideswipe and they make for nice Alternators minibots.

There is a nice knockoff sports bike that is originally a powerrangers thing, it's quite good and has an interesting transformation.

They are a tad bigger than 1/24. Closer to 1/18.
