Dead End variants

Recommended Posts

Dead End is a great figure. But when I first got him about a week ago, something seemed amiss, and I couldn't figure out what it was. I just put my finger on it. His head. The vents on his head aren't painted red! This seemed odd to me, since my brother says his Dead End has red vents, and Dave over at Allspark says his has red vents too. Hmm. Add to that all the pics I've seen online of Alt. Dead End show him sporting the red vents too. So does anyone else have a Dead End sans red vents, or am I the only one? :tfhuh

Things like this happen from time to time. Probably the red paint ran out on the assembly line and a few unpainted vents snuck though.

At least he had a head (I remember someone mentioning transforming a brand-new TF and discovering that the head was missing - yikes! call Ichabod Crane!).

Which one do you have? I have the Binaltech one. The vents are red!

I have the Alternator version.

And trench, your explanation sounds completely possible.

Mine has red vent. Thank goodness. I would hate that. The red adds to his evil character.

You know, he doesn't look bad without the red. Maybe I'll post a pic.

[edit] Dammit, I can't find my expensive-as-hell firewire cable. No pics for now. :(
