I love Ravage, but seriously we get too much of him as it is. Soundwave's go to guys are always Laserbeak and Ravage. I'm very happy that we got someone else into a show this time. If the show goes on I'd like to see Overkill, Slugfest, Squawktalk and Beastbox in there too.

Take away the fan wankage and you were pretty much left with ‘bad guy controls good guys … until good guys use their own strength of mind to snap out of it’ seen it all before I’m afraid … and why couldn’t Soundwave multitask? Is his processor weaker than an Amiga 500?

 

TFA writers have set the bar higher than relying on hackneyed clichéd stories like this.

I like that Soundwave can fly cause he's a Decepticon. It wasn't mentioned but he was flying for a good long while. I loved when he grabbed Prowl by the head and just slapped control back over him. Soundwave using Ratback to control the Bots was a homage to Ratbat's G1 hypnotic powers, right? I was also happy that Laserbeak and Ratbat are true Decepticons and not just Guitars.

 

I have to admit though, the animation in these 2 eps seemed slapped together and rushed a bit. Compared to prior eps.
