Does anyone actually know how big Supreme Devastator is!?

Recommended Posts

I know this is silly of me, but I am struggling with my budget, and wrestling with all of the Transformers, Lego sets and such that are coming to store shelves soon. I am curious to know if anyone here actually was present at Toy Fair, and if they can give me an accurate size appraisal of Devastator. Granted, it is comprised of six rather large looking vehicle toys, but if it is simply Unicron sized or similar, I am not sure if I will bother swinging the $100 price point.

thanks for playing along!

Im not 100% on this, but my understanding is he will make Fort Max look like an Ultra Class in comparison.

that is what I've heard, but images I have seen from Toy Fair suggest otherwise... Scavenger looks huge, nearly as large as the Bumblebee Voice changing helmet, but the other components just don't look large enough to add much mass....

my guess is that most of the mass in the toy will come from scavenger and mix master, the arms will add a lot more than the legs do from what i can tell.

apparently its supposed to be 2' x 4'ish, but that's just what I read some time ago. I'd say he could be 5 feet tall, and I still wouldn't want to pay $100 for it. I would've liked him much much more had he been only the size of unicron, and only $50. This would've made the lack of detail more acceptable and it would've been better overall because the designers wouldn't have to have dealt with the extra weight.

I would like it alot more if there wasnt two versions of it, the non-combining transforming versions of each vehicle, and the non-transforming combining version. either way, you will be paying $100 for one of them if you want all the bots. I guess thats what Hastak is going for--most bang for THEIR buck, not ours.

well, i understand.. it would be REALLY hard to get a halfway decent gestalt of that size with fully transforming pieces and still pass the drop-test. as for details, I will hold judgment until I see it in person. it certainly looks sturdy, I will give it that. and overall I rather like this Devvy design. I've always imagined him as a big, hulking brute, anyhow.. and I have long come to terms with the fact that this is not the Transformers I grew up with.

I read the 2' by 4'ish thing a while back to. I still don't understand why Hasblo has to release the two versions. I think a serious kitbashing will be in order for these guys & I don't normally kitbash stuff. I don't want to and won't buy the $100 non-transforming version. Maybe when he goes on clearance but that's about it.

I am still on the fence about it, personally.. we still have not seen all of the non-combining toys, but so far, they are not all appealing to me. if the $100 Devastator looks good in person, I will be happy to pick him up as a display piece, and something I can move around and have him still be solid, a major issue with most combiners. and it lets me pick and choose which individual bots I like, without being annoyed that I have to buy, say... a voyager that looks like a deluxe unicycle, just to have the whole set.

I really just want to know how big it actually is....

on a side note, I am so excited about the Human Alliance line.... :yay

I've heard rumors about it being 2-feet
