Yo, Nice...good work man...

Suggestions:

Definitely put some of that Yellow on the shins.

Turn that front Bumper back to black.

Maybe add some of that grey from the arms somewhere else, like somewhere on the legs or maybe even on the Rollbars of the Jeep Mode.

The Head looks fine, not too big at all...looks nice. I can't wait to see the real deal man.

In regards to your suggests:

-I wasn't able to get the color quite right in the digibash, it's definitely more of a flat color (not so shiny) and it's more of a orange/tan/brown color. I had it yellow before but it didn't look quite right. I figured that the tan suited him more. Do you think I should go back to more of a yellow tone? I will make sure to add SOME on the shins as they look pretty plain without. (even if it's just some detailing)

- I'll see which I like the looks of better, black or tan bumper. The bumper does look out of place in alt mode. Good suggestion, thanks!

- The grey is SUPPOSED to be silver. The rollbar isn't visible in bot mode as my transformation has the legs reversed, but it definitely can't hurt. Silver roll bars would probably look really cool.

Do you think I should leave the grill marks black? or should I fill them in and make them match the rest of the front end?

Is there any REALLY distinguishing feature about Brawn that I should make sure to include?

Thanks for all the help DeathMarch, after MANY trial and error I think I am FINALLY starting to get a grasp of this kitbashing ordeal hahaha.

I don't think you need to make the upper legs green...cause it works well with the silver and green balanced. If you are painting the chest any color, leave the grill marks black.

If you could match the silver of the upper legs somewhere else, such as on the arms and shins it would look very good. If you put that silver on the rollbars it should look good too. That might be hard and a lot of trail and error though.

Did you repaint the green into any other shade? If it was more of a lighter green it would look the best.

And Bodycount has a good thought -- that having a two-toned car mode may be a bit "iffy" and you may want to use the Yellow/Tan/Golden-whatever color on robot-only parts...but that is up to you. The Yellow would look nice on the crotch area. If done right you could pull it off well.

Keep on kickin' and can't wait to see it man.

I recommend keeping to the Alt concept....Leave the jeep parts green, focus the gold on the robot parts only...too much homage can ruin a good look.

Agreed, only problem is that Hound has very FEW robot parts. Arms, head and crotch are about it (maybe a little on the legs).

I knew his transformation was going to be a major road block, but I have to choose to make a good robot mode over alt mode.

Do you think Brawn would look good if he was almost all green? Alternatively, should I try making him all tanned?

Also wanna add...that head isnt gonna fit through the hood or in the torso for the jeep form...

agreed, see first post.

I think he should be tanned, maybe with green body parts for the homage sake, I wish they would have given swindle a hard top (although it would have been bad for the homage I guess) cuase a green jeep with a tan hard top would serve your purposes pretty well

If I were doing this, and I might someday, IF I can ever find another Alt. Hound anywhere...ggrrr...I'd do this:

Lighter Green for vehicle parts such as doors, chest, and side panels of legs. Also on the forearms would be good.

Silver color that is close to the upper legs color on the hands, rollbars, and head.

Yellow-Tan color on crotch, part of the arms, and shins.

I think this would give you a nice Homage and look fairly balanced design-wise.

After a LOT of thought, I have decided to make all the outer jeep design tanned. (maybe some green detailing).

I will likely make the bumper black and I will paint the thighs green.

Crotch is already tanned.

I will try to find a way to keep the knees silver and I will also try to add a hard top and keep that green.

I will keep you all updated.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions and input!

Just wanna let you know that if you do make it tan, it's gonna look like Outback, Brawn's remold/repaint....

I recommend just making it a lighter shade of green...The head is really what will determine the homage factor in this.

Bodycount does have some good ideas. Don't sacrifice the quality of the Alt's paint job to satisfy an homage to G1. Do what's best for the figure both in Bot mode and Vehicle mode. Giving the Bot a cool color scheme that looks goofy in his alt. mode is counter-productive.

Keep up the good work! You complete me! :beer
