I bought the first wave up eagarly, excluding the repainted armada figures, and I was amazed. I had pretty much ignored Armada, save the seekers and Unicron, and I hadn't bought a TF in months. Energon overjoyed me, and got me back to collecting.

Show wise it looks great, kicker has an outlook on the Autobots unlike that of which we've seen in the TV Show. I think that Energon is truely a great line.

Yeah, kickers hatred of transformers could play out very well

:tfevil

yeah, Kicker definitely has potential. I actually like him as an angry teen. The G1 sendups are great, especially with Shockwave/blast, Omega Supreme, Rodimus, Prowl, and Arcee on the way.

I like evrything about energon so far..but i can't figure out why hot shot seems like a godlike bot to ironhide.

"Hey is that hotshot up there?"

:tftounge

I like the show myself especially with the Kicker twist to it! With G1 like characters coming back it has a little for old and new transformer fan.

I love the toys. Scorponok is one of the coolest TFs in years, and from the looks of Arcee, Shockblast, and so on, the line just keeps getting better.

As for the show...no thanks. I can't stand Kicker, and I don't really dig the Zoids style animation. I will say it's better than Armada already, though.

I fully agree with you! Were getn some badass robots here! Tidlewave, magnus, crulelock, divebomb ( only hope they make the rest of the dinobots! [ Ya ya I know there not dinobots! But there my energon versions of them! :thumb ]) :wave

Im seriously lovin energon.  I thought the color schemes would bother me, but they look great in person.

My only complaint would have to be with Ironhide....yeah yeah i know, his robot mode is fantastic, I just cant stand his alt mode.  Visible face  :tdown.

He also seems kinda go bot'ish in his alt mode, especially compared to some of the other toys in the line.  Im still gonna buy him though  :clap

As I'm telling everyone else, wait till you see the repaint before you buy em! That should be everyones #1 rule with TFs now! I know its mine now! I'm soooo glad I waited on tidlewave & magnus! There so much better than there armada predacesors. Same goes with powerlinxs hotshot in my view

Allso ya, I can't wait for DWs version of kicker :)!

& the homage to the g1 stuff! WoW! Towline Is g1 thunderclash right down to the paintscheme & battle base!

On top of everything else, Energon even has Susan Blu (aka G1 Arcee's voice) to do the voice for Energon Arcee!

Hey, I'm pretty sure that Judd Nelson isn't doing anything...maybe he can do Rodimus's voice? ;)

I'm enjoying what I've seen for Energon toys too...I had just about given up collecting new toys with MOTU getting the shaft from Mattel and the new GI Joes starting to crossbreed with animals...but this stuff is just gold.

No way!! Shes doing arcees voice?! Thats cool! I wish they could get ops voice now that hes back in circulation again I hear em on tons of tv comercials now + he did that bit for the new motu sereis
