Recommended Posts

Well this is pathetic, the poll feature DOES NOT WORK yet again! :tfmad :tdown

Here is your chance to chime in and tell everyone which you care for and WHY! Choose the ONE choice that suits you best!

Takara

Hasbro

Whatever I can get cheaper.

Neither, they both do not impress me.

Both, but I can only afford one.

Other. Explain.

Anyways, share your thoughts on which reissue box style you prefer thus far. And even if you choose Takara, explain why too! Have fun, TFans just wanna fuuunn! :beer

As an owner of a few re-issue figures i have to go with the takara boxes. i have God Ginrai with apex armor, Convoy collection 0, two Megatron collection 6's, and the starscream collection #9 and i do have to say i think the art work, boxes and over all packaging put into these figures was really well thought of.

Though convoy and megatron were each pretty pricy (about $65 a piece) i got starsream off of ebay for like $16 and power master Prime (God Ginrai) from HLJ for about $25 on a clearance sale last year.

though I prefer the takara box art beacuse of the bookstyle presentation, the main reason i bought each of these figures depended on availability. i got Convoy 0 becasue i missed on the first wave of re-issues and never got prime. Megatron was never going to be released here in the states so you bet your ass the only way to get him was if you went for the takara one.(thats why i got two, one to open, one to save) and starsream came with the show acurate colors and megatron gun plus a dvd which i though was cool. the hasbro release of starscream was not that impressive. plus at the price i got the takara one at, i save enough to get a deluxe armada/energon figure. Powermaster prime was becasue the clearance price was cheaper the the TRU regular price.

I really dont care about the whole takara vs hasbro debate, i just like certain figures and whichever are the best available, you could be sure those are the ones i will go for

I like the Takara collection boxes. The art is amazing to me and the inserts are great although I dont speak or read Japanese.

I really don't care either way, but I started with the TRU reissues, so for uniformity I'll stick with those.

takara are easyer to save hasbros tend to need tearing to get the toy out

Are you talking about the packaging for the G1 reissues or their mainline items?

I have never had any problems with keeping the G1 boxes in top shape. I was even able to repack them perfectly when I moved.

main stuff like unicron. after 2 minits i gave up and got the plyers out

my shock fleet just took seconds and the basics are by fas easyer to save as you can just slide out the car to get to the toy unlike hesbro whare you need to cut/tair it

Yeah, Takara wins in that department. I love the fact that you can actually repack your figures if needed.

I like the Takara boxes as well :) They look great when you have them all together from 0-15 :) I also like the e-hobby style reissues too :)
