Furman working with Hasbro?

I was reading the War Within Vol 2 Trade Paperback, in the section about the creation of the Fallen. In it Simon Furman states that he was "working with Hasbro on a larger framework, in which everything had to fit..."

Is this news? Are we finally going to get some continuity between the DW comics such as WW and G1, and the Hasbro toy lines? Does this suggest that the 'Cybertron' series may infact have some link with War Within?

Has Hasbro finally seen the light and collaborated with Dreamwave? Or have they been doing this all along and I just didn't know about it?

Am I getting excited over nothing?

(Sorry if this is old news, I'm not on this board as much as I used to be.)

Am I getting excited over nothing?

sorry yes.

Cybertron has already been stated to be a continuation of Armada/Energon

Not set in the past, and not of the 80's story line.

Plus Cyberton will have Japanese writers, just like the last series.

sorry man.

remem, ber when ppl complained over Wingdagger crying? In one of the Marvel comics Ratchest cries to!

Hasbro pays attention to all of DW's TF comics, that's all he was stating. Cybertron is not connected to War Within. But Furman has said that he would like War Within to have it's own cartoon and toyline. Here's hoping...

Except that he said 'it had to fit' like they were working together on some bigger continuity. It certainly sounds to me from what he was saying that there's more to it than just Hasbro having a nosey.

I hate the fallen. Worst idea eva. It made me quit buying the comics.

:wtf

You mean the Spider-Clone saga didn't make you quit buying comics? :tfhuh

:tflaugh bwa ha ha, dude you so need to visit our Spider-Man thread sometime.

From what I know of the clone saga, it really wasn't that bad. It just pissed off a lot of fans. The concept is good, but wasn't accepted by the public.

As for the Fallen, fruitiest idea by far. I've seen that concept in many B-movies.

My 2 cents.
