Bakugan

Recommended Posts

I haven't introduced myself,

want to say thankyou for replying to my posts.

you might start to get the idea that I like minicons and head masters.

what do they have in common?

they are small (if you look at the HM bodies as bases or vehicles)

so naturally I was curious about Bakugan, I know, I know, I know

I have 3. I was super picky. researching them, (this is the best by the way)

bakugan list

shopping for them,

really it wasn't different than what I do for TF. And it was really fun!

The product is tiny, cute, and rather neat. I can see why all the kids get addicted

and give the parents headaches. LOL

thanks for the welcome!

yep they are rather nifty!

goes well with my minicons.

I get whatever color I can find that I think looks good for the figure.

I think the rare clear ones are pretty neato too!

I think Trap is very interesting, no G power, I thought his bot mode looked pretty cool, but then I didn't know he was a cube! That is really neat.

Maybe they will make a pyramid too :)

I don't know if you are familiar with M.U.S.C.L.E. (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere) anyways so far 2 characters from the Bakuverse remind me of characters from this.

1) Fortress - as Ashuraman

2) Warius - as Akuma Shogun

And then we got the dinosaurs...

1) Dragonoid - as Godzilla............... not really, but kinda just in main character status.....

2) Juggernoid - as Gamera

3) Hydranoid - as King Gidorah.................. sort of......... well.... barely....

those look pretty cool, but you'd be surprised, some are very cool and in that clear plastic ''jewel like" colors too!

but the main difference is that they are magnetic and that is the "trigger" that makes them auto-transform when you roll them on to a metal gate card.

I still have three MUSCLE men at work.

do you know which 3 you got?

Dude with the mohawk, a Sumo wrestler and.... uh, crap.... I can't remember the other. I'll have to bring them home and take some pics. Also, I was thinking about painting them up. I know they're not that rare so I wouldn't feel terrible about doing it.... not that I even feel that way about doing to TF.... Anyway

I'm really excited for Bakugans toy future. I'd really like to see them come up with some better designs but overall I admire the enginuity that goes into their design. There's a ton of springs insie these little guys coupled with the magnet system and the really tiny paint details... They're just great.

dude with a mohawk or do you mean fin?

the guy with the fin is most likely the main character Kinnikuman aka Muscleman or someone from his planet.

Sumo Wrestler is Rikishiman aka Ulufuman (wolfman)

yeah I like so much that Bakugan don't take up so much space and relatively cheap because it's small, it's expensive for a small toy if you look at it that way.

They have so many varieties that your bound to find at least one that you like, if you give it a chance.

it's cool that it also not just collectible but made as a battle game.

The battle is simple it's basically "war"

whomever with the higher G number wins.

roll your piece onto a "metal gate" card, flip the card over and add the number from the card to the number on your figure and whoever is higher wins.

The specific rules are confusing and not well made, they've changed the rules a few times...

better imo to just play simple.

Can't wait to get some more.

I passed up on Universe Cyclonus to get some Bakugan instead and I am very happy, esp. since I've decided to get some more.

I remember those MUSCLE men, I got a bunch of them from the gum machine once. Probably not official ones, but still based on the official mold. I don't really mind either way since they feel just like the real ones.

OT, I didn't really like Bakugan at first, but looking at them more I'm starting to like them more and more. They do have some pretty neat little designs, granted some are just kinda WTF is this supposed to be. Still they are really neat. I just bought one on a whim, whichever that one is that looks like an eye, I love the little sucker though. It is very detailed and feels really solid even folded up.

I don't much care for the game, but they sure look nice as display pieces. So far I haven't really seen many on the shelves at the TRU by me, still have to check the Targets around here. Either way it's pretty much the same ones in the same colors: red, tan, and light bluish gray? Much rather collect them in black, but right now I'll just get whatever one I like in whatever color I can find that looks good for that mold. Not sure I'll be going crazy buying en masse just yet, $5.99 is still kinda hard to get by.

Any pics of their bot modes?

MUSCLE men definitely had some very interesting characters and often imitated such as in the case of Bakugan.

the game does stink, just as a dramatized version of War...

I like the eye, if the opportunity presents itself I would get him. To me he would be like the perfect 3rd one in a three pack :)
