Yes, those pins are a pain in the butt. The only thing I do that helps somewhat, is to heat the part a little bit with a hair dryer to soften the plastic, and try to push it out with another pin :) When I go to put them back I add a dab of glue onto the surface to hold it in place so it wont just slide out by itself over time.

 

Maybe someone else has some ideas on this too?

Awesome. That IS good advice; I had not thought of that. I'll give it a try. I also talked with the dude who sold the Alternators Prowl on Ebay and he said--surprisingly--that he actually DIDN'T remove a lot of the pins but instead just kinda soaked the parts in with paint well-enough that they ended up black (most of that mod was black anyway.)

 

...so, on we go. Anyone else have any suggestions for what to do about the pins?
