i agree. but do they need to be in G1 colors?

I think some characters need to be in there G1 colors as that was part of who they were....that said, some characters such as smokescreen have worked out quite fine without the G1 colors so that shows that they don’t all have to be in there G1 color schemes.

It's just that for the most part G1 is why we are transformers fans in the first place and it’s hard to let go of the perceived perfection which is G1. :thumb

that's true, of course, i really dont remember too much of G1.

I think some characters need to be in G1 colors. Bluestreak, Silverstreak and Bumblebee for example.

I think with the more obscure characters it can vary. And if they can't get the yellow plastic to look good on Sunstreaker (yellow is tough sometimes) I'd rather get a different color if it is done in a superior way.

Does that make any sense?

Yeah that was more or less what i said too "I think some characters need to be in there G1 colors as that was part of who they were....that said, some characters such as smokescreen have worked out quite fine without the G1 colors so that shows that they don’t all have to be in there G1 color schemes." - Snowman81

GET OVER THE COLOR SCHEMES!!! If its not the color you want so what? You're still gonna buy it. Its a friggin' Sunstreaker. If it were agua blue you guys would still buy it. And these are the same people who buy those butt-ugly Energon, Armada, & Universe figures with those horrible kaleidascope colors nitpicking about a Perfect modern vehicle, amazingly transformable, superposeable, updated versions of their favorite G1 characters. Did I mention the DIE-CAST option also?

"Man, it should be this color; why does it have that?; that doesn't look right."

Can you feel my sarcasm?

I thought that sounded familiar...... :tftounge

In response to the color issue with Sunstreaker..... I know usually the prototype pictures tend to be the same color as the final run, but I'm doubting that's the case this time around.

The first problem is not only having two cars with the same color, but two same cars with the same color... The casual collector probaly wouldn't differentiate between them.

I believe the reason he is red in the prototype is because they had plenty of sideswipe protos still laying around and just jumped into modifying it, instead of starting from scratch. That doesn't mean he'll be yellow, but there's a much better chance.

But now I don't know what to think about tracks. Before this news, I would have bet him to be yellow like the protos, but two yellows at the same time doesn't seem likely.

Long story short, none of us really know and can only speculate on what little evidence is before us. I'm sure the companies are well aware of the original colors and will do everything within their contracted rights to get as close as possible. In the meantime, lets just be glad that there seems to be many more than the alleged "only 10" in the works.

May the Alternators line live long and prosper :)
