Is this something that will be made available @ retail stores or just online? I'm liking the (red) Prime & (assuming silver Megs will be cool as well). Alternity Convoy and Megatron most likely wont come to the states given their deluxe size with leader class sized price tag. But if they do they would be Store exclusives much like Starscream and that's a big IF since they would also be selling the new movie, universe and Animated stuff all at the same time

 

I'm going for the Japanese toys worst case scenario and they do release them outside asia oh well I might have missed out on a tiny saving

Indeed Megatron is confirmed but he is not the silver toy he is a new mould based on the FairladyZ but their is much debate over it being the current 350Z or the new 370Z coming out soon since the report only says FairladyZ and that could be aether car given the naming system Nissan has in Japan. My money is on the new one given how they got to make the GTR toy and thats a brand new car

 

I imagine that if they came here, they'd be Universe TRU exclusives sold for $24.99 in a 2 set with a weird bio attached to them.

I personally don't expect a state-side release. But if they did I bet it'd be about this time next year (nov-dec) as part of a quick holiday push exclusive made to go along with the endings of the TF2 Movie toys, since they have the realistic car modes.

Where did you hear/read this? Hasbro answered that they wont be bringing them to the USA in the year 2009 in a question poll to the Australia site. They answered this as USA & AUS.

Yes i also vouch for Megatron being confirmed. And the Japanese fans know what kind of car it is. It was stated in a hobby magazine. Whether or not it was read correct to be the 350Z is another question.

My opinion is that the management at Hasbro doesn't think the Alternators panned out as well as they hoped it would and really have no intent at the moment of ever doing something similar again.

 

The "we're considering it" responses with regard to the questions around continuting Alternators and their ilk, is just a way of trying not to alienate the fans of said toys while waiting for them to lose interest and quit asking...

I just typed it most likely wont come out outside of Asia that's just my 2 cents

 

the problem with the Japanese article is that while it did confirm it was a FairladyZ they didnt state the chassis so it could be the Z33 (the current 350z) or the Z34 (the 370Z)
