Got a source for that? First I've heard of it.

Me too.

I would go more for a Hummer 1 then a 2 since the 2 is purely a streetcar where the 1 has more militairy connections.

How about H1 for Megatron. I like this personally.

H2 for starscream.

The only problem is it's hard for me imagine the seekers all as H2s. There is a lot of variety in the humvee (H1) line so that would make sense since they could all be remolds. It would also make them bigger than most of the BT/alts, so that fits.

If megatron were to be a smaller tank that would make him about the right scale to be bigger than the seekers and about the size of prime. He still wouldn't be to scale though.

I think if they do do megatron he's very likely to end a up as a tank. No matter what he will be great given the current quality of the toys. Both a Humvee and Tank give great options for design.

In the cartoon Grim was taller, in the comic they were equal, as toys the original Grimlock was just slightly shorter than the orginal Op.

Now, as for being bothered about the scaling issue, I am a bit disappointed, even tho the toys are cool. But scale was always an issue throughout the line(s) anyway. It's just a matter of your imagination to make it work for you. Just look at G1 Rodimus vs. G1 Galvatron, or G1/2 Optimus vs. G2 Megs, or even Blaster vs. Soundwave to a lesser extent. Large differences in height, but considered equals of each other. But I would rather the robot modes be more to scale with each other for most purposes, and the vehicles vary in size, such as they appear to be doing with the Robotmasters line. And on the flipside you've got the AT/BT's that are all to the same vehicle scale, which so far has resulted in fairly equal robot modes, but we're bound to come across more differences as the lines progress anyway. At least Energon for the most part has kept most figures to a specific robot scale, which they kinda have to for them to powerlink together and fit. But when there's differences, you just kind of need to imagine there aren't any ;)

The Grimlock scale thing doesn't bother me. It's just a new body that's all. It's not like he can't be as powerful as he was before. Look at Brawn, he is a perfect example of compact power. I'll think of Alt/BT Grimlock as the same.

Now will they call him Shrimplock?

lol :tflaugh

Scale is always important with transformers :tfevil

If you're using the G1 cartoon as canon, then a fighter jet (Starscream) is about the same size as the cab of an 18-wheeler (Prime). OR an Indy car (Drag Strip) is the same size as a friggin' space shuttle (Blast Off)!

HELLO PEOPLE! The cartoon showed characters as a certain size because that's how big their toys were. It's not a true representation of scale or size.

I don't really care if MP/20th prime is bigger, Optimus is supposed to be one big ol' bot, and e is supposed to be the leader. Only fitting that they make him the biggest. Show accurate hoo ha if you ask me.BTW: I like the 'stang just fine, no need for him to be an H2.

im not following you.

are you making that assumption based on the fact that the robot modes were the same size? in that case you really need to take a look at transformers as a whole and re-evaluate your fan status
