Why hasn't JRX/Railracer get repainted yet? I think they are one of the best combiner since G1... I hope Hasbro did not forget about them....

Was thinking the same thing.

 

So far the only RiD figures in Universe have been the figures that were already repainted (A. brothers) or very available (Prime/Magnus). I'm not waiting for repaint of Armada figures, but the JRX set would be great.

 

(Then again, the wild colors normaly associated with Universe may look really bad on this set.)

Hasbro hasn't forgotten about them. They have said several times that the RID Trains are too expensive to make.

I can see that, they were the best gestalt ever designed a red schema wouldnt have been bad, but I have never seen a red bullet train. it makes mine rarer that they were never reissued, and they were relatively inexpensive in the hasbro release.yay hasbro for doing something right

I dunno about Railracer, but considering that we haven't even seen a Universe Optimus Prime or Megatron yet, I suspect that Hasbro is going to want to stretch this line out for some time to come. (If Hasbro ever did release G2 Laser Optimus Prime as Universe Optimus Prime, I would immediately forgive all their missteps and kiss the ground upon which Aaron Archer walks.)

By "Since G1", I hope you mean at least Predaking, because G1's combiners were crap..

Compared to the stuff that's out today, definitely. But for the time, I thought Bruticus was really cool (I still have G2 Bruticus -- I just like the Combaticons a lot, I guess). I also liked the Technobots and Terrorcons. Now I'll grant that their transformations were all pretty much the same, but I didn't mind so much.

 

Of course guys like Railracer and even Landfill completely smoke those guys. And despite the repaint-limbs thing, which kinda cheeses me off, I like what I've seen of Energon Superion and Bruticus.

 

Now if only they would do the same thing for the Stunticons (sentimental favorite).

Agreed. Laser Optimus Prime released in TF:U (in a good Optimus Prime scheme btw) I would grab like no ones business.
