Classics G1 Jazz by dacreator

I made this figure from a Classics Prowl with some modifications of course. I didn't want to do a simple repaint and I want it to resemble G1 Jazz as much as possible. I wanted the front to look like a porsche, so I did the following: 1. Used putty to fill in the gap where the head pops out.2. Remolded the entire front and added on a couple of spare engine parts from a gundam model as the headlights. 3. Cut the detachable side doors near his shoulders, glued, puttied, sanded and painted over it for a more broader chest look.4. Remove the light bar.5. Added more putty to the side of the rear tire section.6. Modified the head with putty, styrene sheets and a pair of gundam engines.7. Made some decals and posted it on.

Not a bad job re-sculpting the front into a Porsche. I'm planning something similar for mine. Are those reprolabels?

Thanks, I did the best I could. With time and more practice it will get better. No it's not reprolabels. I made them with powerpoint and clear tape.

That looks incredible. It could be a LOT better, but it's still nice.

Lot of work invested there - Keep it up! :tfgrin

wow man he looks great.

One thing, though: You might try turning his legs around to mirror the original toy.

really nice job there, i'm in the process of making the same custom myself.

will post wen its done

Yeah, really nice job! It's not professional looking like some of the super stuff on here, but it looks like a lot of fun! It makes me want to do some more customs...

Thanks and I'm glad you liked it. I like to customize transformers for one reason: FUN! It's a hobby of mine and I know it doesn't look as nice as some of the others but I enjoy what I'm doing. Overtime, and given some more practice, it will look better. Also, I wish hasbro would make more of the classic G1 series. Sicne they aren't going that road, I'll have to make some of the ones that I want. Be on the look out for my next custom, Trailbreaker!
