Upgrades

Is it possible to dye parts without boiling/heating up the RIT Dye/water/acetone mix? If so, does the mix need more, less, an equal amount of any of the 3 key ingredients (RIT Dye, water, acetone), or an extra ingredient? The reason I ask is because if I boil the mix, I fear that the plastic will warp and become ruined!

After some testing and heavy examination, I believe that the yellow paint color below (Model Master Acryl 4721 - Insignia Yellow) is the one that closely matches the yellow of Generations Voyager Sandstorm. But because the paint is watery, I have to apply a new coat over and over until the color is solid. Therefore, I need to know... Is there something I can add/mix to the paint in order to make thicker?

I figured this was something of a necessity. A Replacement head based off of G1 Roadbuster for the Beast Hunters Cyberverse Bulkhead figure. I mean, they guy's already in Roadbuster's colors :) Up on Shapeways for testing. Started to bug me a little bit that the screws on her legs were facing outwards. Easy enough fix I think, so I hammer out the pins in her knees and get ready to swap them. But as I'm about to put them back on I realized the unfinshed side of the leg tip would face out in spider mode. Took a bit of work to get those parts off, since Hasbro had to go and glue the upper legs together. (I have to wonder sometimes, why screw and glue a part?) Kinda knicked up the seam on the first one I pryed apart, but did the second one alot cleaner. The protos and boxart had her this way as well.

hello who can give me the two repainted smokescreens? on the transtopia site they are called Street Screamer and Road Warp is there anyone who has them or anyone wanting to sell them? theres been a lot of discussion on the board about k.o's for kitbashing or whatever, my question is does anyone have any suggestions on how to reinforce the weak plastice they use for them..i just picked up the GOD MAX k.o and i wanted to add a little structure to the flimsy parts. fire away :thumb

I brought a Optimal optimus bootleg today after planning my leobreaker fist plan for awhile I hit a few snags but got it built to connect to leobreaker it looks better than before now the pics are webcam so i need to find the digital camera to do some better ones till then enjoy! the other fist is gonna be for nemesis breaker and i'll paint them black and white once i get the paints
