Upgrades

Here it is! Your place to share upgrade kits, stickers, customs, repaints, 3D Printing projects and more than meets the Transformers Garage!

  1. Started by OverhaulimusPrime,

So here is Overhaul.I created him for a TF RPG,where he is a 1969 Dodge Charger. Well back when Cybertron Downshift's were shelfwarmers here in my town,I bought 2 of em.One to keep as Downshift and the other to repaint into Overhaul. This is my first ever repaint,in the pics you can see the brushstrokes and how think the paint is.I still have to get more paint and do some touchups. The gun he is holding is from the Classics Prime/Megs 2 pack.Thought he looked cool with it. So let me know what you guys think about it.

  2. I'm not usually one to do a bash that has already been done. Where is the fun in that, right? However, there are several projects where one basher has really done the "best" conceivable bash that can be imagined for a character. For example, Ptitvite and his Devastator (which has helped spawn a formula for damn near EVERY combiner since), Nemesis Predaking and his TFA Dinobot...there are quite a few. Another is Classics Shockwave. The first one I ever saw was by Jin Saotome, and it floored me. As the years have passed, many of us have followed closely to that formula, trying to interject our own spin or take on that bash. It's almost like a right of passage, right? Anywho…

  4. Started by deliciouspeter,

does anyone have a suggestion on removing pins? i have been using a small watch repair kit, but typically the pin is very small (seemingly glued in) and of course the pin and the tool are stronger than the plastic, so the plastic has broken.

  5. The pics here (one whole, the other separated in two, both with fingers removed) are of the right fist of 2007 Movie Leader class Megatron that disconnects at the wrist to become the spiked end of the extendable "chain whip" flail weapon concealed within his forearm. I am looking for someone who can and is willing to recast this very part in black plastic. The reason I ask is because if I paint it in black, I fear that the paint might rub or chip off even with some kind sealer applied on to it. If interested, please PM and/or e-mail me at omarjt82@hotmail.com with your price for this request and I will respond ASAP.

Just playin' around. I saw a digibash of Sideswipe to Tracks long time ago. Forgot who did it. But here's a quick head switch of my Sideburn and Tracks.

  7. Started by jourdo2k3,

OK... I wanted to try something easy for my first time and have decided to make Ratchet out of Energon Towline. I've got everything planned out like a good little boy... however, I have hit one MAJOR road block. I'm in the disassembly process and am fighting like hell to get these f'ing pins apart!!! I would prefer to not break him in half if possible... although that seems to be the direction I am taking. Any suggestions on easy techniques to do this? I'd love any and all input on the subject, as I have other customs that I want to try out (assuming I actually finish this one) and I assume this will come back to haunt me on future projects! Thanks!

  8. Started by plowking,

I need a favor, will some one who has Cybertron Jetfire check and compare the size of his head to the size of an Alternator. It looks like it will fit (from pictures I've seen) but I want to be sure before I buy it. Thanks in advance to everyone that helps.

  9. Started by Ratchet,

When I first saw the Autobot Ratchet figure for the universe line, I realized they had missed a major opportunity to nod to the G1 bot's windsheild protected face and got to work. With some help from reprolables.com, the figure turned out better than I could have hoped. View the Custom Gallery Here

  10. Started by masterminicon,

I read somewhere that you can get chrome paint. Now I'm curious if this is true, because my Nitro Convoy's Force Chip has massive chrome paint scraped off. And none of my other Cyber Keys/Force Chips do. What's reccomended for a situation like this?
