Alrighty, so i used to custom paint my old transformers movie toys. But during then, i just dry brushed everything. I stoped painting and now im thinking of custom painting the Devastavor toy. But i wanne start on something small. So im thinking of going out and buying spray paint cans. Im gonna use Krylon Fusion/ For Plastic. Razorstorm is a fan-made character of which the commissioner wanted a custom made. He was built using parts of a henkai Thrust and Universe Starscream. Painted with House of Kolorz lacquers and my new secret weapon: Krylon's "Oven and BBQ" Flat black. About the character: The character's name is Razorstorm and his backstory is that he was built from pieces of dead Sharkticons (hence the color scheme) and he uses his silver wing blades (made from shark's teeth) to generate vortexes to fillet his victims. Presenting Nemesis Primal. I had made him around Christmas time, but only had a crappy camera. So I didn't post the crummy pictures then. I drilled holes in the monkey fists so he can stand on his board in robot mode. I don't know why Hasbro didn't do this in the first place since that part of the monkey fist is covered by the knuckle guard in monkey mode anyway. Also I gave him a sword from one of the G.I. Joe ninjas, I think Shadowstorm. He can hold the sword firmly without any mods. This will be the first repaint/kitbash that I have attempted and I have read the advice posted about the process and I have what I feel is a decent plan of action, I just have a few questions and any help would be appreciated. I plan to spraypaint the front of the van, where the red glass is, in silver then mask off the window sections with painters tape and respray the peice in red. What brand of paint should I use for this (and the project in general)? Should I prime the peice before hand, if so should it be light or dark primer? I am going to dye the light brown plastic peices black. What type of dye should I use and how strong should I make it? Any prefere…

This high detailed Slag was built using an original Generation 1 figure, but mixed in with a variety of parts, giving Slag nice articulation. He's now got articulation : At his shoulders (via ball joints), upper arms (swivel joints), elbows (hinge joints), hips (ball joints) knees (hinge joints) and head (ball joint) Slag was base coat painted with House of Kolors and detailed with Testors Model Masters (enamel) This version of the Dinobots, I went with a more metallic gold rather than the cartoonish yellow-gold used on the last set. I needed a little help in getting this one started. I just wanted some advice on which Alternator to use as the frame to mount this one on. I have spare Ricochets and Skids. I was also thinking either Sunstreaker or DeadEnd as they both have long front ends. Any suggestions? I wanted to start with a Kitbash of WildRider onto a Ferrari 430, but the engine is in the back, and the only Alt's I know with the engine in the back is Mirage and Rodimus. They are a little expensive to sacrifice. I also thought of getting that Roadbot Lambo for a frame as it is rear engine...then I came across this model kit and it seemed to be an easier project.
