  1. Hi all! I just joined the forums this evening and this is my first post! I'm here looking for a little help/advice. I am an avid collector of Takara/Tomy's Binaltech line but have something of a obsession with keeping my things in pristine condition. So imagine my horror when I discovered several of my beloved Transformers had damaged paintwork (a common problem on die cast toys I've read!). I was wondering if anyone here has succeeded in touching up paintwork on die cast models, Binaltechs in particular? I was thinking would it be a simple matter of getting a touch up stick from the real car manufacturer? Surely if the cars are authentically licensed the shade o…

K, we got a little hack set up to give you ownership of your garage gallery posts. We are doing them in batches, so there might be a short delay in switching them over. If it is not too much to ask, now that you can edit the post. Can you please keep using the gallery to update your topics. FYI, Whenever you add on to a gallery. The gallery is featured again on the Garage so readers keep track of your WIP. Thanks for being patient as we work to improve things. Constructive feedback is always welcome. :thumb

Hey all, I assumed this would be the most appropriate place to ask around for new packaging sources. Looking for a wholesale or retail supplier for new plastic clamshell / blisterpack / other small display packs, preferrably in bulk as I need quite a few. I recall there used to be a few shops who carried these for StarWars & G.I.Joe figures; Target even had a peg for the SW types for a bit. Feel free to reply here or just PM me if you have some or know where to get them for a reasonable amount. Aiming towards creating some "Robot-Masters" styled custom display cases for my HOC collection & various customs. I found some clear address labels on c…

  6. Started by MACHWULF,

<Brief version> After reading somewhere that Chrome nail polish might yield better results than typical silver model paints, I tried Sally Hansen's "Pure Chrome" from WalFart. After testing on junk materials & a few KOs, I made a few valiant passes on appropriate parts - it dries fast & clumps easily; the whole layer must be done in one pass. So far, the best method seems to be coating the target part in a thin layer of polish rermover just before applying the nail-polish - this aids in a more uniform coat & thinning into smaller/finer details of the piece ( I suspect paint-thinner may work too ). I'd really like to get get feedback / ad…

  8. Started by Father Time,

As you may have heard, I received an Animated Starscream shipped from America, without a head. Since it's impossible to send it back, I'm looking for a replacement through these channels. If any of you happen to have a spare Animated Starscream head, I would greatly appreciate it if you would send it to me. I'm not sure, but it seems to me, the toy is supposed to have a neck. In any case, all that is left is the cup of the ball-joint, and if there is supposed to be a neck part, I don't have that part either. Thanks in advance!

  10. I'd like to place in a request to all those willing to listen. I've recently taken a look at Animated Deluxe Megatron(the one that comes with Prime). While he...well, kind of falls flat AS Megs, I could immediately see a whole bunch of other TF's he could be recoloured into(and plan to get a bunch for just this purpose once they start appearing in European shops). I hereby contact you to assist my vision. The first, and most obvious, recolouring is of Wind Sheer(from RiD, the black jet with the neon green trims). The second is of G1 Fangry(with the light maroon, black and the green face). The third is of RiD Armorhide(the one with the blue and the urban black-and-…
