This may have been posted before, but I have been spending most of my time spamming in INH. I have never seen these cels before. They are really cool. I hope the rumored Anniversary release of Transformers: The Movie incorporates these scenes and others that were hinted at in the storyboards. Assuming, that is, that there is really going to be an Anniversary version of the film. Anyway check out the link.

The artwork on some of these doesn't appear to be consistent with that of the movie, especially the cels of Bumblebee and the second Galvatron cell..... everything is too rounded.

That Starscream one wouldn't work. Both him and Megatron are dead before we see Junkion

Junkion could simply be a mis-placed background.

Whre did that guy get those? I think that they're more likely alternates than deleted scenes.

Alternates, deleted scenes, whatever you want to call them. They could be fake for all I know. I just found 'em and thought I'd share. :thumb

Fortress Maximus would probably be the best person to verify the “genuineness of these but to me they look real. Only the Starscream’s scene has a dithering effect or pixilation around his image. This may just be from his scanning software. The guy seems to know what he is talking about. Thanks for sharing this Diesel :thumb

You're welcome Bizz. I just thought it was neat. They could have had a totally different storyline based on that Starscream pic.

if these made it into the final movie, the guys at transformersforever.com will have a field day with plenty more animation errors to list for the movie.

I've been to evebird's RS site before, it's a good site for TF:TM cels. I recently contacted him to find out how he knows the specific cels are authentic production cels, that were from deleted scenes. I have not received a reply yet, but when I find something out, I will let everyone know.

Btw, I personally doubt those deleted scene cels are fakes and/or repros. You need to keep in mind while TF is popular the cels were not in the 90s. Many were destroyed by the studios b/c cels were not regarded as collectible and basically industrial waste. The same problem occured with the classic Bubblegum Crisis (BGC) OVAs. Also while I've seen some really good TF cel collections in person over the years, people generally make repros of REALLY popular (meaning profitable) series into fake cels.

A good example is the Ah! My Goddess (AMG) cels, there are tons of high quality fakes circulating and likewise with Evangelion (EVA) cels of Rei and Asuka. Even Ghibli cels are reproduced by highly talented artists, some are made by actual Korean animation studios, ie they did many of the AMG and Urushibara (famous character designer for Legend of Lemnear, BGC OVA #7 Vision, Plastic Little, etc) cels.

Here are some other good cel galleries from various series:
