I was divided between G1 and RID magnus because they are the onlyones that have appeared on TV. The winner was RID.

got to go with RiD the only bad point is that his lower legs are so freakin long

Toy:

- Robot mode - RID win.

- Alt. mode - Although RID Magnus car carrier is more realistic, I'm going with the - g1 Magnus. I just love the classic g1 car carrier looks. Overall, I'm going with G1 Magnus.

 

Hm, since both are tied, I'm going to give an upper edge on RID Magnus since he's cool in both Robot and alt. mode.

G1 Magnus for character, but the RiD Magnus is the best toy.

RID Magnuis, is, IMHO, the only choice. He's an original mold, not a recolored Prime. He's got more poseability than any other Magnus toy. He can actually do a flying karate kick and look convincing. He's got good playability, as he can hold 6 Basics, 3 Deluxes, or even 1 Mega. And you can use him with Energon, G1/2 and other similarly-sized Autobots, not just the RID car brothers. He doesn't look half bad with E-Jetfire on top of him, you'd be surprsied. Beats Overload any day.

 

Oh, yeah, and he can combine with Prime into one of the coolest-looking combiners ever.

And I'm sorry, in the show G1 Magnus was only background scenery. He was as useful as a potted plant. And had about as much personality.

 

RID Magnus as Prime's hostile rival, now that was cool! He was arrogant, stuck-up, self-important, and not-so-secretly envious of Prime. It added serious drama to an otherwise silly story. :clap

as soon as I get him back, I'll post pics of my revamped E-Magnus. TFmaster is working on him for me, and let me tell you....the bad-assery that will arise from this figure...
