Hello...I had noticed that everyone has a Sunstorm, and I didn't want to get left behind so I thought I'd show you all mine...

The only way I could think of to make him look more like Sunstorm was to set him on fire.

 

Thanks be to all the others that have come before me with this repaint...without your inspiration, I never would have had the courage to take a perfectly good Starscream and repaint him to look like a giant piece of Laffy Taffy.

The non traditional colour scheme works very well.

The head in particular looks great.

lol, everyones doing one of these it seems, even me! Ive gone for an even more less than traditional paint scheme though. Ive been having lots of problems with mine though so it isnt up to my usual standard.

 

Yours looks pretty neat, lots of paint apps that i havnt seen applied to this character before.

I really did start out with the basic orange scheme, but then I started looking at some different metallic colors to add for contrast and detail...I ended up using a model master acrylic brass, and metallic copper in places where I instinctively wanted to add gold or red.

The head was very straightfoward...I gave him a thin brushed coat of pewter grey, then a drybrush of aluminim...the eyes were touched up with copper...

 

I don't feel so left out now!
