I was looking at the Megazarak Universe figure and noticing all the different colors. It makes me wonder how exactly are transformers painted? Are they hand painted Or is there some type of complex machine that stamps the color on? Looking at some of the detail I know it would be hard to stamp some of those colors on like the silver rim around 20th Anniversary Prime's Windshields. If any one knows could you please help? Thank you.

some kind of stamp paint machine does it, for smaller details I guess its sprayed at high pressure with a very precise and tiny airbrush-like machine

real hand-painted toys would cost a lot more, even if the work was done at very low salaries in Asia, and with hand painted toys, the chance of 2 toys not being exactly the same is a lot larger than for machinaly painted toys

I would love to witness these things being manufactured. That seems like a lot of work to get those machines to paint so many different toys.

Some things are handpainted, like the wash on Scorponok's claws, and Thrust's arms...I know Mcfarlane Toys still has handpainted stuff going on.
