Some advice needed...

Ok, I have good joint tigtener (Superglue), Good carving tool (Dremel) Good molding stuff (Apoxy sculpt), good paint (Testors). But I still have a few more q's

1. How do you go about making joints? Say you want to make a Classics Ironhide out of Energon tow line. You make a custom ball jointed head, but how do you make it so it can attatch to the joint? And not just for ratchet joints-ratchets, pins, and other joints. How?

2. I know how to tighten ball joints, but how do you tighten other jonts like pin joints and ratchet joints?

3. What is the best plastic bonder (glue?)

4. Is Testors paint the best paint?

5. I have asked this in many topics, but no one answers them. What is the best sealer for sealing already factory painted things and custom painted things?

6. What is the best thing for molding pieces?

7. What is the best thing for filling in little paint scratches?

answer: buy lego,s knight kingdom or bionicle... they have the best joint system readily available and they work great !! and no headhaches with thoses...

2. I know how to tighten ball joints, but how do you tighten other jonts like pin joints and ratchet joints?

answer: what you can do is apply cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) on the ball joint and and smooth it on the ball.... so when you put it back it will be automatically be thighter..... (but not too thick or you wont be able to move)

3. What is the best plastic boner (glue?)

answer: cyanoacrylate glue with an bounding accelerant (2-3 secs) called insta-set

4. Is Testors paint the best paint?

answer : defenitly not.... the best paint is in my opinion tamya paints....

5. I have asked this in many topics, but no one answers them. What is the best dealer for sealing already factory painted things and custom painted things?

answer: good question... i would like to know as well lol

6. What is the best thing for molding pieces?

answer : sillicone bassed molds that you make .. and the best products are smooth on products.... and you make the pieces with liquid resin (2 parts) that you can dye ... again smooth-on products....

7. What is the best thing for filling in little paint scratches?

answer : i usually smooth-sand it and paint over (aerosol) but there are compounds out there to help... althought i never used it before...

hope that helps !!!

So Tamiya is better than Testors?? How about Krylon?Read the questions again. I messed up spellind on the dealer/sealer one.

it,s tamya....

-krylon is good on styrene and nothing else... (i,ve seen paint chip if you use it on resine)

-tamya is the best overall....

-testor is so-so... depends on what you use it for.... (the paint can disolve easily)

and of course your budget is important.... tamya is among the most expensive....
