I went to Botcon, and made a post In the convention gallery section here months before the event, to get other Transfans to go w/ me, to split hotel costs, car rental, etc. Needless to say I ended up staying at the Sheraton Hotel at the convention center, in a king size bed by myself :wtf . On the bright side, I got to see Peter Cullen(G1 Optimus Prime & Ironhide), & Dan Gilvezan(G1 BumbleBee). I got a New Year's Prime, & the very first Takara Re-issue Optimus Prime Autographed by Peter Cullen, as well as a G2 mint on card BumbleBee autographed by Dan Gilvezan. I also picked up Binal Tech Hound, Transformers History collection Starscream, Optimus Prime & Megatron Lenticular playing cards, MegaSCF Optimus Prime(Metallic Version) and I wrote "thanks for the memories, -Donnelly Shah," and gave it to Peter Cullen. I also attended the Breakfast, where they gave out the Botcon Exclusive: G2 Breakdown Actionmaster, limited to 204 worldwide. I also found a vendor selling the Botcon Exclusive 2001 collector's plate w/ Unicron & Movie characters!!(I love that plate's artwork!!) The Peter Cullen discussion panel was electrifying, I never laughed so loud, and clapped so much, my hands started hurting!! He did plenty of his old Optimus Prime sayings, straight out of the cartoon, it was fantastic!! I noticed that this site doesn't have much post-botcon coverage. If you want a lot of Botcon coverage go to TFW2005 boards. I just subscribed yesterday, that is where Team Botcon hangs, and they have tons of Botcon pics, so check it out!! :wave

I also went to Botcon. I didn't get a chance to pre reg, I think I missed the deadline by a few weeks. I still had a blast. It was my first convention and I can tell you with all the fun I had it won't be my last.

I didn't go to most of the panels because like I said it was my first convention and I didn't know much. I spent most of Saturday looking around the dealer room and let me tell you, it was HUGE.

In the middle of the dealer room was a two table display of almost every Transformer to date including lucky draws, e-hobby exclusives, etc. Ben Yee has a photo gallery up on his site http://www.bwtf.com/gallery/botcon2k4 you can see the huge display they had as well as a few other things.

I also got to meet Peter Cullen, although I didn't get to attend his panel because I wasn't a pre reg. Let me tell you that the few seconds I got to talk to him he seemed like a really cool and down to earth guy, I got him to sign an artist proof hard hero Optimus Prime statue (I have pictures in the collection thread) after he signed it I shook his hand and told him thank you for the memories. I wish I had bought something to give him, but I didn't bring a whole lot of money because of the short notice I had.

I got to meet Donnely aka Galvatron1 as well as Jackpot aka the person who did the Windcharger picture titled "Return To Sender" that he posted on the boards in the art section. I'm sorry I forgot your first name Jackpot, was really nice to meet you both.

As for my haul I picked up a complete piranacon as well as an MIB Omega Supreme. I also picked up a Dan Gilvezan signed print (I wish I had gone to his panel) and a complete set of DW volume 2 Decepticon covers.

They say that this was the last Botcon ever. I can tell you that if thats true they went out with a bang. The whole feeling of the show was very mellow and friendly it was like everyone had known eachother for years and it was just a big gathering of friends. I really hope that they put on another Botcon because as much fun as I had at this one I'd love to attend another.

Some Pics from the 2005 boards for those of you that didn't attend Botcon :thumb:

U can see my Custom Painted Evil Decepticon Jetfire, & Custom Painted Unicron, :clap YaY !!:

It took me a long time to compile all these links, So I hope you enjoy!! :wave

To bad they do not have anything that big here in Europe. I must say I loved the Big Magnus repaint.

Hey Galvatron1 I hope you do not mind if I share the links at the Seacons Swamp. Thanks! I will give you full credit! :thumb
