Howdy!

 

When I was at Anime Boston 2003, I found a very talented artist by the name of Doug Smith. For those of you not too big on the anime scene, he did the voice for Kintaro Oe from Goldenboy. Anywho, I got a couple of black and white commissions from him, and I'm looking to get them colored. I've tried myself, but my coloring ability with Photoshop is rather lacking.

Picture 1: Myself and my girlfriend, anime style.

Details - Brown hair and eyes for the both of us. My uniform should be black. I'd like her to have either a baby blue or light pink uniform.

 

Picture 2: Me standing in Optimus Prime's hand.

Details - Not much to me. Just give my brown hair and eyes. Get Prime to G1 colors (may need to modify the crest on his helmet)

 

I'll leave the creative details up to you, such and lighting, shades, most of the colors, etc.

Nice pictures, especially the OP one. Though if one goes to work on the first one, you have to align her eyes a bit better, they really look off.

 

edit: I looked a bit better, shoving the nose and mouth a tad to the left may also solve the misalignment and will be less work.

 

I'll assume by having bought them by commision you do not have to ask the original artist if they may or may not be colored?

I'm not selling them or offering money to do this. Just a simple request for people with a lot of spare time. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be against any rules. I'd just leave his signature in the picture somehow..

Ok, here's the one of you and your GF

 

I added a background I found off the bed, I just looked like it needed something.

I didn't really alter the line art that much and it looked like it came out just fine to me.

What do you guys think?

once again I added a background to it to add a bit to the picture. I also added the autobot logo to the t-shirt.

The main thing I did to the line art on this one was add the three lines to Prime's crest

This one came off real nice I think.

Those are really nice. I'm loving the Prime one. It seems like every T-fan's dream shot....

The colors are better than I imaged, the shading is awesome, and the backgrounds are a very nice touch. Good job on my shirt with the Autobot logo too :thumb
