I was just bumping around on the internet, and it was the story about some drilling company "drilling into hell" and hearing screams and such....but at the bottom of the page relating to it...i found this:

quote:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In these verses alone, we have the basis for finding truth to the drilling story. Though it does not prove the story true, it most definately proves it possible. We have both the placement of Hell (Sheol) within the Earth and the possibility of digging/drilling/going to it through the earth's crust, expressed in these two verses

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

blah blah blah... and then this:

quote:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sheol (Strong's # 7585) - "hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), includ. its accessories and inmates: - grave, hell, pit."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord Gacony, anybody? interesting to find out where they got the name Sheol from...

Wasn't there an old epiosde of that Might Max show where some guys accidentally drilled to hell? Whoops.
