What was the story line for G2?

I read some of the comic, but what was the story for the toys.

new generation of Transformers was born/created: Jhiaxus ans his men

G1 TFs fight against those and find out some more about their origins

with the creation of Jhiaxus and co, a new 'evil' is formed: the Swarm, which cunsumes everything on its path

 

OP saves the day (with lots of casualties and reformed TFs in their G2 mold)

it's covered in the Ultimate Guide that was released some time ago. You could also go out and get the "Dark Designs" and "Rage in Heaven" tpbs by Titan Books.

-After the defeat of Unicron, the Autobots go chasing the remenants of the Decepticons throughout the galaxy.

-Meanwhile Bludgeon's gang takes the Warworld, they made a whole lot of evil plans but they be needing the Matrix to get their Scheme on. ut Prime has that, so what do they do? Well, attack earth, duh.

-Megatron, having just been rebuilt by Cobra, figures Bludgeon's group has a pretty good idea, but he's not too fond of Bludgeon calling the shots, so he fixes the situation pretty quickly. Also Starscream is back because Megatron is an idiot.

-Soon enough, Prime finds out about Jhiaxus and co. During the time when Prime and co. were taking a nap on the Ark, some Decepticons said "Screw this" to the conquest of Cybertron and started to take over the galaxy as they always dreamed too, they aren't too fond of these relics showing up.

-Oh, and the swarm is lurking around the corner giving prime the shivers. A nasty byproduct of Jhiaxus's army constantly reproducing without The Matrix. It's a big mindless swarm of life-devouring evil that shouldn't be licked.
