Need Help for Classic Mirage kitbash

Recommended Posts

Classics Mirage has no upper head mobility, nor a neck, so I removed the head hinge to perhaps file the back off to allow so upward articulation (friend on flickr did the same with great results). Once the head was removed I noticed that it MAY fitbetween the wheels on the higher grey hinge.

I unufortunately don't have the skills to remove some parts to GET to that grey hinge. BUT will post these pics asking for help, direcetions, instructions. etc.

These 2 shoulder "things" are holding the upper torso together. I have no idea how to remove them.

Once the shoulder things are removed, this hinge could be accessed easily.

My idea would be to either completely remove the upper grey hinge section, or remove just what would be necessary for the grey neck hinge hole to fit there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You're smuggles on here? :)

Here are my previously referred to photos. I just hacked away at Mirage's head without disassembly. It was too cold in the garage to bear standing out there for a few minutes to knock out the head pin... My goal was simply to get him to look straight ahead.

Lots o grinding. Mostly I removed the hump behind the head.

The result. The arm is about 10* above the actual level of his eyes. I tried to get it accurate.

I too hope an experienced kitbasher can make this work. Mirage is too cool to permanently suffer with the neck problems he came with.
