This is totally unrelated to Transformers but I have nowhere left to turn. Back in the early 80's I had a toy called "Dan Van". it was a red battery operated van that had this little microphone thing on the roof of the van. You would get it to go by saying,"Dan Van go." The other commands were,"Dan Van Left", "Dan Van right" and "Dan Van stop."

Does anyone out there remember this toy?

I have fond memories of me and my Dan Van. I was 6-7 and I got it for Christmas. I remember yelling the same commands you mention. I am sure the neighbors loved hearing a kid yell at his battery operated car. Anyway I was telling a co-worker about it and how my brother brings it up every 5 years or so. She told me to search and see what I would find. So I found your post and we were laughing because I told her almost verbatim the commands you wrote. hahaha Anyway I see your post is 7 years old but I decided to register with transformers to contact you. Yes someone else had one too! It must have been a good toy for adults to talk about it 30 years later. It is my most memorable toy from childhood.

After some research, this came in at least two colors, red and black. Finding anything short of "I had this when I was a kid" seems impossible tho.
