Web site Q & A for the week of May 24th

Q: Why are Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS ALTERNATORS molded in plastic while Takara’s line is die-cast metal?

A: We felt that it was important, for the US market, to make ALTERNATORS affordable.

Q: Do you have any plans to release more G2 toys, such as the Laser Rods or the Autorollers?

A: We are looking at many toys from TRANSFORMERS history. If molds exist, there is a chance you will see more G2.

So there you have it. While we were discussin G2, Hasbro has been considering a rerelease of G2.

The more things change the more stay the same. :tflaugh

Not really a bad thing g2 has some great molds. I Hope we see laser op ala scourge in g1 op colors for a change :) I just wish they would say what molds are still good! But I guess there just what? Going through them & testing them as they find them or what heh?

They also added pics of E_-Omega Supreme and Altenetors Silverstreak.

They're full of it! You can get a die-cast car for $10 in 1:18 size, so adding plastic parts to make them transform wouldn't add another $10. They just didn't want to for the same reason why they avoided die-cast in everything since 1986 short of the reissues and anniversary Prime: they're cheap.

and they deserve this... :demon :stone :tard

Grrrrrrrrrr! BURNINATE HABSOR! GRRRRRRRRRRR!*grbas torch and pitchfork, heads off to providence, RI)

Anyhoo, I don't mind the plastic at all, and for some of them it actually allows for more balance because they're not as top heavy. But that's a whole different and over discussed topic...

I actually wouldn't mind them releaseing the European powermasters and turbomasters, etc... Atleast we would get some molds that were new to the states. I would also love for them to go back and release things like Overlord that never made it's way over here during G1.

I wonder if the LioKiaser molds all still exsist that would be sweet. I've always wanted that combiner team but I don't have 300 bucks to shell out for them little lone try and find them
