Since I got Jetfire...one of THE most official Transformers ever made. I was wondering if anyone would be too sad or be in WTF mode if the Classics line was a cleaver way to bring the G-1 names to an end to make way for newer names and products. I know the movie is comming out soon and most G-1 names are totally in and I'd expect that for the movie but what about other lines?

How about no more G1 homages for 20...okay, at least 10 more years? I'd be down with that.

New characters to add to the ranks of the old would be motivation enough for me.

 

I mean how many Primes, & Megatrons do I really need in a lifetime.

 

Just got Classics Prime & finally Alt Prime & with the exception of upcoming movie Prime I am so over the character.

 

Now awaits second coming of Rodimus Prime. :tfdance

Well, I admitteldy can never get over Optimus... but I do feel that this would be a good full circle ending to the names themselves. I can see that in five years there can be a revamp or revival but I do definately think that the story needs to progress from the characters that made them great. Ongoing stories in another universe. A new threat. Something that will wow us all. I'm even looking for a whole story based on Cybertron like Beast Machines was.

I agree, but I do suppose they keep mini-cons/legends to use the G1 names so Hasbro can keep their copyrights/whatever.
