Titanium Scourge mini-mod

Recommended Posts

I was annoyed by the huge size of the sensor on Scourge's head and his lack of weaponry. Here was my brute force solution. The last five pics are the same pose from different angles.

Basically, while in alt mode, I flipped the head back and pulled on the rubber sensor array until it stretched and then finally ripped right off. I was going to create a reattachable socket on the end of the rubber piece that would allow it to mount onto one of the forearm screw holes and then back to the head, but I discovered that what was left of the internal hexagonal post fit snuggly into the screw holes already. I swapped the forearm pieces and that was it. I still need to build up the internal edges of the hole on top of his head as the piece does not fit snuggly there anymore. Anyone have any idea where I might score a talon-like hand that might match the size and scale correctly?

Nice!

Although it seems like you just lucked out with the shape of the Tear.

It could "stretch and rip" any various way....

So...from head- to arm-mounted laser?

You are absolutely correct. I wasn't very concerned though because I intended to fabricate a more permanent connection. If you had a third hand, you could cut the rubber towards the base of the post while you were stretching it. I originally disassembled the entire figure to see if the head was comprised of two screwed together halves. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I would advise against taking the torso apart at all costs. There are rubber gaskets that line the internal arm sockets and they tend to fold inwards when you try to get the arms and legs back into position for reassembly. I was sweatin' it for a few minutes before I got every thing back into place and sealed tightly.

I always thought that thing was a sensor. I don't ever recall him firing anything out of it in the toons. I think he used the side arrays for firing laserblasts. I could be wrong though. Its been a long time since I watched any of the toons. This gives me the perfect opportunity to pop in the new 20th Anniversary DVD I picked up last week. :) The arm-mounted laser is just my interpretation and use for the part in bot mode.
