Bendy Optimus?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so it is to my understanding that the cybertron , Optimus with his alt being an earthen truck (like armada prime) is called "Bendy Prime". Is that correct? If so, why? Is he.... like ... bendy? Also I understand that there are two versions, a normal one, and somewhat of a variant with planet decals on it. So just how rare is this variant and how much is he worth? My girlfriend and I were shopping today and it was the first time either of us had seen him (decal version) so she picked him up.

So, 1 Why "Bendy" Prime?

2. How rare is he on average

3. What's he worth?

Thanks for any help! ^_^ :tfgrin

He is so named "Bendy Prime" because during Armada, he had a $40 "Superbase" version made, which wasn't terribly articulated. The $10 Optimus PRime (Bendy Prime) was made to offer a highly articulated figure and a cheaper alternative for the $40 figure.

The so-called "rune version" is a running change of the Cybertron repaint of the $10 and considering he only started to appear a month ago, the rune version will probably end up the most common.

2. The Armada version was quite plentiful and can be had for retail plus shipping, and assuming stores start stocking with the current wave, the Cybertron repaint will available this holiday season.

3. Not much, as said, the Armada one can be had for no more than retail, and unless you come across a variant collector, there won't be much for the various Cybertron versions. This is the fourth domestic release of the mold and many collectors aren't really going for it

Someone else asked this on another thread about a week ago.

He is just "bendy" compared to the other Prime that was released in the Armada series, the ultra-sized Prime that was essentially a brick.

By comparison, this Prime is very bendy, hence the name.

Not too rare I don't think. I have the non-decal one, but have seen the decal one as well.

I'm pretty sure the only "rare" one is Bendy Nemesis Prime.

as far as I know I'd also say that....bloody figure was rare up in my region maybe 1 per walmart, maybe less. Only came one time, no second ones up on the shelves.

Don't forget translucent bendy prime.

anyone got a pic?
