Michael Bay & Co. Comment on Optimus Prime Pic

Recommended Posts

Um - WOW!

Reading thorugh the bay board is like a journey into complete idiocy.

I cant believe there are people there insisting that Prime could NEVER EVER EVER EVER be a long nose cab. As if hes ever even been a COE in recent history. Put down the ludes and the disco ball and STFU!

Its not just the endless Starscreaming that gets me - its the endless Starscreaming about ROUMORS of rediculously small and insignificant details.

AND

i would wager a bet that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE RETARDS WHO CLAIM THAT PRIME MUST BE A COE - has purchased Armada/RiD/Cybertron figures.

not only are they retards but hypocrites too.

I am so close to just abandoning these TF boards....

The majority of the people complaining know nothing about trucks.  As I said before, Prime was a cabover because the Japanese used them when he was designed in the late 70's.  Hell, if they designed him today using the trucks in service over there today, he'd be an Isuzu.  I can see it now, Prime transforms into an Isuzu cargo box van and Megs doubles over in laughter.

If you ever had the chance to drive or rid in a cabover, you'd drive it straight to the junkyard.  All trucks shift alot due to the tremendous torgue of the motor, but the cabover has to be the most uncomfortable piece of crap ever made.  You sit directly over the motor.

What the G1 purists all fail to realize is ALL the vehicles used in the late 70's when these things were designed are no longer in production.  Change is inevitable...deal with it.

Thank you UTchamp!

You would think that if ANY franchise would be open to CHANGE then it would be TRANSFORMers

sigh.

You forget Energon, dude. He was very much a COE there.

MegaZord Fattimus doesnt count - EVER! - You Die NOW!

Careful.....you'll be lynched for free thinking. :thumb

Poor UTChamp - lynched by rabid Fanboys... and at 5 posts he was so young...

had such promise as a Tfan.

MegaZord Fattimus doesnt count - EVER! - You Die NOW!

*Was expectign that, is on the verge of gheyfanboy rant*

please don't make me go gheyfanboy.

seriously though.

He was a COE as of early to mid 2005, so that is certainly possible if we're going by time standards... I seriously doubt he will be a COE though. there's no Powerglideing point to it. COE limits the transformation to either ultra simplistic(Original G1 optimus toys, including powermaster), or insanely complex(20th/mp-01), IMO. a long nose truck would be far easier to use for a movie toy line.

That reminds me. several months ago I saw a COE that looked exactly like the classical G1 Optimus, only painted a faded blue, I believe. it was at night, so I am unsure of the color.

He may have been a cabover as a toy, but it's not realistic.  And in the time you saw that one cabover, you've seen hundreds of normal trucks.  And it probably wasn't painted "faded blue," it was probably so damn old the paint had faded from blue.

I know maybe he'll go start his own board, where they talk all day positively about how different the movie will be, and everyone can share their happy free thoughts without lame fanwanking.

Sigh...that would be a magical place

...and I like Energon Prime. :tfsad
