First off, I'm not entirely sure where to post this, so to the mods, if you have to move it just let me know.

 

Over the past couple of weeks I've been buying parts and weapons lots for G1 transformers off of eBay for a somewhat ambitious project. I've been working on restoring and repairing the transformers to their original glory so that they can be re-sold on ebay to raise money for charity. I have a few that are nearly ready for auction and more that should be going up soon.

I could use some help, since I would like to see these auctions do well. Occasionally, I run into parts and pieces that I can't find any way to identify, I have some transformers that are still awaiting parts, and I could especially use suggestions on which transformers would be best to look out for as far as popularity.

www.tfu.info is a very good source for identifying weapons and accessories for a TF.

 

As far as popularity, most of the first 3 years of toys tend to do well, especially rarer variants like the 3rd year bots that had diecast replaced with plastic. Combiners are also popular.

Minty complete Action Master vehicles seem to do decently, and certainly popular late G1 characters like Bludgeon and Thunderwing.

yeah, I've been to TFU.info a lot, along with transformerland.com (both have been helpful in identifying parts). Currently, I have an Astrotrain and Sixshot that are now complete but need to be cleaned up for auction and a couple of devestator sets that are nearing completion (missing one of the six individual hand guns for one of the constructicons)
